Definitely a possibility for next year - if you are interested this year without keepers, go ahead and join - there is one spot left. There are a lot of fantasy experienced players in this league trying out to see how the B-Ball works - I'm sure transitioning to keeper will be a topic for those who decide they like the FFB in general when we kick of subsequent years...
Yoink!
Haven't played in years but anything with other Goojers is good in my book!
Good luck! Which team name are you sporting?

Sorry if that came off as discounting this league. I mostly meant that in general I would really enjoy a keeper league. I’m already in a long standing yearly draft league.
No discounting at all - on the keeper interest.
Duckies, glad you could join!
Is it weird that you guys won and that team is no more? Happy for the city just curious if there's any bittersweet aspect? We've certainly seen this in other sports, notably baseball but I can't think of an example in hoop.

Toronto, and Canada in general, is so starved for a championship (last win were the Blue Jays and Canadiens in 1993) that no one really cares. It was always a long shot bet that Kawhi would stay and him going to his hometown while refusing the more money is something that makes sense emotionally.
For me, I'm really happy that Masai's long-held strategy of "be good, be relevant, be smart" worked out. He despises tanking and has long believed that a team can successful with smart drafting, contract, and trades. Then when the opportunity presents itself, trade for a star.
Zion Williamson has surgery today to repair torn meniscus in right knee and is expected to miss six to eight weeks, Pels say.

Reaaaaalllllllyyyyy hoping Zion doesn't end up being Greg Oden 2.0.

I dunno be doesn't look like he is 88 already.
Problem might be more the Pelicans. Simmons already mentioned on his podcast that they have a notorious medical staff.
The first jokes were Zion might need to trim down and NO food wouldn't help. Maybe the Pelicans conditioning staff won't either. Might be groundless but AD has never been exactly super healthy.
Don’t need Kawhi when you have VanVleet.
To change the hero you have to delete the existing image and upload a new one.
For the body of a post it should just work as long as the imgur post is public.
Thanks DS, that last bit about the public part was what I was missing.
Hot take: DeMar DeRozen should get one as the key piece in bringing Kawhi to Toronto.
The Raptors rotation last night was a factor in getting all the new guys to buy in and be up to snuff defensively. Nurse has had some pretty harsh comments about Hollis-Jefferson, Johnson, and Thomas. Since they play an incredibly active defense with lots of non-verbal switching it can be difficult for certain players to acclimatize. The Raptors basically went into the playoffs with the idea of assembling the most smartest and most aggressive group of defensive players in the NBA. There probably was a big push to not lose in the first game also.
Gasol is quite old with a lot of mileage. If they plan on keeping him and making a run, would not be surprised if he is rested a lot and is on limited minutes for other games. His passing and defensive work is still great, it's the getting between that's going to be a big issue.
Dwight Howard has always been an excellent shot blocker. Too enthusiastic and in-love with swatting it as far as he can but still great at it. The issue has been he's so injury prone we've forgotten how good he can be and it's taken a huge toll on his overall athleticism.
I doubt I'll be watching every game or even most games but will definitely tune in and follow along. Would be very entertaining if Siakam and VanVleet can take those big steps forward. They are older than most young players at 25 years old, though.
Seeing Grayson Allen trip over himself instead of tripping others was the highlight of the night.
Did anyone do league pass this year? I am wondering how the streaming performance is. I remember a couple of years ago I saw some pretty bad reviews.
