NFL 2019: Week 1

Even still, Dak should just walk straight out of the stadium and start his holdout.

Meanwhile, once again, I'd like to thank the Giants for letting me know early not to get emotionally invested this season.

EDIT: So happy that, in a league where running backs have highly limited windows of productivity, the Giants are completely wasting two seasons of Saquon Barkley.

Those were nice five minutes at the beginning.

Yep but I knew this before the game even started. All i want now is to see the young players grow and get experience. I still think DG is building a good foundation.

Wow, maybe Kliff Kingsbury wasn't the brightest hire. Looking forward to all the talking heads that talking up Kyler Murray to reassess.

Larry Fitzgerald should just retire after the game.

The Cards still have a sh*tty line. Until they fix that, this is what you get.

Also, see: Browns.

So, I guess Melvin Gordon still has some time on his hands.

My comp for Trubisky when chatting with friends is the better Winston. (That's not a compliment)

Winston going to Winston.

You mean trading away Kevin Zeitler wasn't a good idea? Who could have foreseen that?

Went out to a nice dinner with the wife instead of watching the late games. Came back and checked the stats to see that Jameis Winston threw three TD passes today.

One was even to his own team!

Not a great or inspiring win by San Francisco, but at least in the 2nd half, they played like a team that's better than the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

One of the mystifying moves the Giants made. That pick could have netted them at least another one and a two and paid over hopefully more in the long run. You can get production and value all through the draft at RB and the Giants need so much everywhere. Just an odd pick.

Coach Brian Flores consistently has denied an intention to tank, but the first rule of Tank Club is never talk about Tank Club.

Also, so glad I don't actively root for the Bucs any more lol

Ironically I am a Barry Sanders fan. That was a waste of talent on a losing team. Hopefully it doesn't duplicate the Lions tenure.

Is football the worst sport to be on a tanking team? You just go out every week and play while risking serious injury getting popped.

Baseball would be the best? Your team sucks. You are a relief pitcher. You're sitting around spitting sunflower seeds while playing pranks on people in the bullpen.

It's because the Giants thought they were 1 rb away from a 3rd Eli super bowl ring XD

Forgot to add that I agree. Also, not a big fan of Shurmur. Why he stopped using Saquon is another perplexing choice.

Particularly with the frequency of injuries in football or just wear and tear during the course of a season.

The Dolphins will be great for fantasy. Their D will be playing like it's the pro bowl, while giving up 500 points a game.

Nice!

With our Gonzo rules this season, one could slot Fitztragic as the number 2 QB and still get points to put them over the top.

It's the same thing this draft too. They easily could've moved a few spots and got Jones later while picking up picks for other parts of their team, like pass rush.

It's what bad organizations do. Right now, with Gettleman, the Giants are a bad organization.

I'm confused. When should I be doing laundry?

The Steelers O is sucking against the Pats and yet I don't think they'd bring AB back.

Watching Steelers vs Patriots reminds me of just how little I want to watch more Steelers vs Patriots football.

That hurt to watch, moncrief was 3/10 for 7 yards. Still waiting to see whether pats D is just particularly good this year, or whether the Steelers will get their act together.

Keelan Doss back to the Raiders. When sinking ships are musical chairs, I guess.

So, I guess I overreacted. What the heck happened in the 4th quarter?
