NFL 2019: Week 1

They should've taken the Dolphins game off the air. In fact, never put them on TV again.

Seriously, just like playing in Oakland.

The Pats may put a hundred on these Dolphins next week.

Since the Jacksonville Jaguars cut Blake Bortles, they have never once been able to complete a game with the power working in their stadium.

#curseofbortles

They took us to the Browns game because of the power outage. They just left that game because it was so bad, and cut to the Bills’ Brown catching the go ahead TD in mid play. They should just feed us Red Zone coverage.

Wound up turning on Vikes-Falcons; decided it was a solid excuse to sit on my butt and change a bunch of guitar strings. Was actually curious if the Vikings' offensive line had improved their pass blocking so Cousins would have a vague chance to survive this year. Ten pass attempts total.

So I guess that question waits for next week.

You say that, but the Dolphins have always pulled off insane games against the Pats. The Dolphins are going to be everyone's trap game this year. Good thing the Ravens got it out of the way.

As Warren Sharp pointed out all summer the Browns were the worst odds in Vegas because of the hype. I still think they have a chance to do well, but today is hopefully a wakeup call.

My neighbor was heading out earlier today to the Browns game. They were all smiles and "Go Browns!" I said, have fun watching Baker's OL get him killed all game. Didn't think it would be this bad though.

I have to believe Dorsey will be on the phone with Washington tonight.

Yep, seemed obvious from the injury. Gonna be 8 weeks minimum. Lots of Minshew.

Blocked punt!

OK Jimmy G, save my weekend

Sounds like it goes good with soy sauce.

Watching the Jets lose that way made buying Red Zone worth it for another year.

Are there veterans QBs available for trade?

Asking for a friend.

Oh sure, implement pass interference review now that Sherman isn't a Seahawk.

Legion of Boom would have hardly ever made the playoffs if that was around then.

How about Colin Kaperni--

*doors busts open, stuffed into sack, dragged away to be hidden in a closet in Goodell's office*

Uh, I be Matt Cassel is available.

I saw that CLE line and was like, NOPE.

So the Browns had 18 penalties against them. Hence the boos.

THEY ARE WHO WE THOUGHT THEY WERE!

Edit: I did not realize that Delanie Walker and I were on the same page in terms of paying homage to the late Dennis Green.

I'm very curious how the commentary will be. Will they praise Brady if he doesn't have a perfect QB rating? Or make some excuse about "divisional rivalries being tough" if they don't win by 7 TDs like the Ravens did?

Can I please have a linebacker that doesn't get ejected?

Well it's the end of the 1st quarter and Garoppolo is still playing, so this is already going better than the Jag game.

Well Jarrett Stidham will play the entire 2nd half, so the commentary will be too focused on discussing whether or not he's truly Brady's successor.

If they don't drop 70 with the backups playing the entire second half, I'm declaring them frauds.

This is the NFL though, so there's a decent chance the Dolphins somehow win.

Please please let that mean Foles took the injury bug with him and Wentz stays healthy.

Also I'm kicking myself for sitting Lamar Jackson. I was sure it'd be handoff city and rg3 way earlier than that if Miami was as bad as promised.

Edit:. Hey Jacksonville, RG3 is available and doesn't have a history of injury right?

I flipped this on. So far, on this drive, Cameron Brate has caught two TD passes, both of which canceled by Demar Dotson holding penalties. Both these teams look godawful.

What the hell was that, Bungles?

Ouch. Foles, Hill, Breida, Mosley all look like they're missing time for injury.

Pay Dak his money.
