Nice work, guys. 19.4% done! (Yes, I entertain myself by keeping track.)
Day 6 of Arttrober is Yuna from Final Fantasy X:
Well this is one most of us should be familiar with. I certain am, having played Final Fantasy X quite thoroughly some number of years ago I don't care to look into.
Very nice. Definitely recognise her.
I wasn’t sure how enthusiastic I was going to feel about a month of drawings but now it’s underway I’m drawing in every spare moment and am buzzing with ideas for future prompts.
I've only played XII and VII Remake, but I recognize her --awesome job, Ravanon!

Same!
In totally unrelated news, I have been drawing furries.
Number 7 Passport
Good job, Prederick and Higgledy!
My Day 7 starts my Batman miniseries:
Oh nice line work.
Thanks! I kinda wish I hadn't colored it. Oh, well...
Thanks Prederick, now I'm wondering what kind of pervert I ought to be (or am already?!).
Day 7 of Arttrober is Ai Hoshino of the manga "Oshi no Ko", an idol manga (and anime) that I know nothing about:
This one took a bit of time to come together for some reason (so it's gotten pretty late where I am, and I'm tired).
Love her hair!
Nice. Interesting dress.
Thanks Prederick, now I'm wondering what kind of pervert I ought to be (or am already?!).
That's the best part! It doesn't have to be a horny pervert, you can be a total pervert for, like, composition, or form. Just be a total, deranged weirdo, but purely for values and hues.
Or, y'know, drawing huge yabbos. Whatever feels right.
8. Hike
Demon lady at the hairdresser.
I like how different our four series are! Love Higgledy's landscape (is it based on a photo?), and Prederick's storytelling in that picture.
My Day 8 is Two Face:

Value control. My archnemisis, we meet again.
Great figure work and faces Prederick.

I did quite a bit of balancing of light and dark, making the ‘blue’ of the sky darker than it would be and darkening the land just below the distant mountains when logic was telling me that area would be paler.
Keeping an eye on tonal values does make a difference. It’s easy to forget though.

No, it isn’t. I have done a crap ton of rambling though (and painted quite a few landscapes that were based on my photographs.) That seems to allow me to conjure them out of my head.
Very nice Two Face Mario. I like that the monster half’s hair looks like fire.
It is fantastic how different our sets of drawings/paintings are.
It's great to see a range of drawings this year.
Day 8 of Arttrober is Psylocke of the X-Men:
I am aware of this particular X-Woman, though I haven't read many X-Men comics or seen any films after the first couple however many years back. I think Psylocke appeared in Apocalypse?

That makes a lot of sense. Nothing like building a mental reference shelf!
Very nice Two Face Mario. I like that the monster half’s hair looks like fire.
Thanks! I think it's the first time I've ever drawn Two Face, and I love his hair made you think of fire.

Awesome Psylocke, Ravanon. I've always loved this redesign of the character. I have read hundreds of X-Men comics, and I have seen all the movies except for... Apocalypse, but I think she was in the movie. Actually, I think Olivia Munn played her. I think.
Yes, excellent Psylocke.
We're all going to pretend I didn't stay up too late drawing an OC in a fit from Fashion Nova with her sizeable booty hanging out, so instead, accept this sketch of a lady climbing a mountain:
I accept it! Really cool pose, by the way.
Day 9 for me is Mr. Bloom:

That character is very Elden Ring Mario.
Number 9 Sun
Some nice pose work, Prederick.
Is that still a Batman villain, Mario?! It's an odd one, for sure...
And a nice scene, Higgledy.
As for me...
Day 9 of Arttrober is Melinoë of Hades 2:
I mean, Hades character art is always really good, so it's a bit intimidating to try and draw any of its characters—especially for a daily drawing. I could really use more time for this, but it's already eaten more time today than I care to admit, so here you go.
It’s an incredible character design. Yours is a stylish rendition.
Love Sun and Melinoë, guys!
I've never played Elden Ring, Higgledy, but I believe you.
And Ravanon, yes, this is a Batman villain created by Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo. I don't know if he's ever shown up anywhere else other than the arc in which he originally appeared, so I'm not sure how popular he is. But he is super creepy, so of course I had to draw him!
Day 9 for me is Mr. Bloom:
AIIIIIIIIIIGH
One of the things I love about learning to draw is how it has taken things that I'd once have seen as sexualized, and made them the bane of my existence.
I spent a solid 20 minutes trying to get this figure drawing model's butt right in the pose she was in, and it JUST. WOULDN'T. ART RIGHT.
I have never been angrier while looking at a naked lady's butt before.
EDIT: A similar thing happened to me at the beginning of my journey in a figure drawing class. The model was one of the most attractive humans I've ever seen in my life, but once I got over that and really focused on on trying to do the 2 and 5 minute exercises, there were several parts of her body I just couldn't get right and it was driving me insane.
Oh, and has anyone else noticed that AI has made looking for good pose reference online a f*cking nightmare?

Yeah. I still struggle drawing the area around the hips. It's like I fundamentally don't get what going on where legs are supposed to join the torso.
Oh, and has anyone else noticed that AI has made looking for good pose reference online a f*cking nightmare?
Oh, I've noticed.
