Gaming video Catch-All

Looks interesting to me. VR supported but not required. It's from 2016 but still looks good based on the video. Looks like it's only about 4-10 hours long which is a plus to me.

This video had a fairly large amount of footage I hadn't seen and some interesting bit of information. Looking forward to this game!

Dragon's Dogma 2 is Punishingly Old-School for the Better - Hands-On Preview

The only concern I have is lack of fast travel. I was ok with it in the first game but that was a long time ago when I would play games endlessly.

One person giving impressions did say they would kill a boss, be left on incredibly low health and then have to fight their was back through a hostile countryside. That does sound fun but maybe there are ways to mitigate that situation or perhaps you aren’t too severely punished for dying on the way home from a boss.

So not interested. I will never understand the phenomenon of salivating over punishingly hard games with limited convenience features.

For those who appreciate games like that, may you enjoy the fun I could never experience in such a game!

That is the beauty of this. Some games appeal to some more than others.

Same. I liked the original game well enough at first, but it got repetitive pretty quickly. I tired of the loop, and the story and quests weren’t very compelling to me. I got maybe halfway through and my son told me I’d basically seen everything so I moved on.

The trailers for this new one seemed so similar to the original, which would’ve been great if I loved the first one.

Same same same. The first, despite a handful of long attempts, simply didn't gel with me. The combat didn't work for me, the story was pretty meh, and it simply didn't spark anything in me. On paper, the game should be right up my alley.

If the game comes to any of the services I have for any of the machines I own, I might give it a go just to see if it really does what the first set out to do but, well, good this time.

This is eye opening.

While this looks more and more impressive the more I see of it, it's still very light on details.

Thanks for posting this. Eye opening indeed.

All I got out of the part of that video I watched was “RAAWR UBISOFT SUX MICROTRANSACTIONS BAD ASSASSINS CREED KEEPS GETTING WORSE RAAAAAWR”

If Valhalla sucks so much, how did it make so much money? Sure, microtransactions, but players wouldn’t buy things if they weren’t enjoying the game.

The video gave me the same vibe as the Assassins Creed subreddit, which is a cesspit of negativity.

It takes him a bit to get to his point but it's not that Ubisoft or their games suck

Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra (Captain America & Black Panther Game) - Story Trailer | State of Unreal

Who is the dude with the trumpet?

You haven’t heard of ‘Trumpet Boy’ cap’s original sidekick?!

I kid. No idea. Presumably he has powers although it’d be cool if he was just a regular soldier. I wondered briefly if his trumpet summoned reinforcements but that seems silly. Also, it feels like a bugle would have been a better fit physically and thematically but I’m sure they have their reasons.

Either way I like this line up.

Edit: Perhaps he gets powers as part of the story and becomes a hero we know. Powerman mb?

Edit 2: This is the guy. He was a member of Nick Fury’s Howling Commandos in the comics.
