Star Wars™: Dark Forces Remaster - Reveal Trailer

This is neat and all, but I’d rather it have been a full remake. There are already some good mods for newer game engines.

It gets really good when they start playing Tricky Towers.

SteamWorld Build | Release Date Reveal Trailer

Yay, Dec 1st. I played the demo when they put it out earlier in the year. Its Anno 1800 but more stylish, and with the intriguing underground half of the gameplay that feels just a touch dungeon-keepery. Really enjoyed it, and surprised it has taken so long. Im guessing they added some consoles to the list, which always takes an annoying amount of time to support.

19 Minutes of Black Myth: Wukong Gameplay | gamescom 2023
*I enjoyed this but I am starting to feel a bit of "Souls like" fatigue. Anyone else? We have three dark souls, demon souls and remake, two Niohs, two Jedi, two Surges, Remnant, Ashen, Mortal Shell, Sekiro, Hollow Knight, Salt and Sanctuary, Bloodborne, which are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head
It feels a bit like an overcrowded field.

There are a lot of first person shooters out there too, but nobody's complaining about it being an overcrowded field. Nobody's forcing you to play each one.

Having said that I saw this trailer for yet another TBS game. So "souls like" isn't the only crowded genre.

Untamed Tactics - Launch Trailer

I’ll take all the souls-likes you can give me. I’m just glad there are so many fans of that style of game and developers keen to make them.

Death’s Door that I’m playing at the moment is so soulsy (for want of a better word) and I adore it. Black Myth: Wukong looks so cool to me. Love the setting. The problem with these games is that they only need to be off a little in terms of gameplay and they just don’t cut it so you have to wait for those who know to try them and give an idea of how good the combat is.

This is giving me major next gen Gears Of War vibes and I think I am in. It looked like there is co-op too!

This looks like an underwater "Firewatch" Not a bad thing at all.

Under the waves.
