I should be pleased Tottenham got a point away in the group stage, but man, we started up 2-0.

Bukayo Saka. Remember the name?

We got off easy. Spurs need a wake up call, stat!

Whoa! Braga won against Wolves. Unexpected. Wolves haven't won yet in the premier league, but Braga also isn't at their best domestically.

Check out this witchcraft.

Edit : Oh Spurs.

City mad. City smash.

Jeeez. I think City declared after 20 minutes.

Edit. No apparently they’ve perked up again. Watford should just walk off here. It would only count as a 3-0 loss.

Maybe sacking the manager will fix everything for Watford.

8-0 is nice, but it's no grimly hanging on to a 1-0 lead away to Gillingham in League One. Which is what my lot did.

Bolton came very close to getting their first win of the season today. After consecutive results of 0-5, 0-5, 0-5 and 1-6, they managed a point in a goalless draw with Oxford on Tuesday and then led Sunderland 1-0 today with 90 minutes on the clock.

Then conceded a penalty at 90+2 to throw away the points.

Bolton started the season on minus twelve points due to a financial irregularity penalty and have now made it all the way back to minus nine points.

17th-placed Oxford rebounded from that midweek 0-0 with Bolton to face 8th-placed Lincoln today, in Lincoln. Oxford managed seven shots on target and won... six-nil. Because Football League football is bananas.

Isn't that amazing? I'm not sure I've seen a goal like that before. Just incredible coordination, agility, balance, and composure.

Pfft, grimly hanging onto a 1-0 lead? Try clinging on to a 1-0 lead for 93 minutes, then deciding to give up an equalizer in the 94th.

Which is what Fulham did.

EDIT: HOW IN CHRIST'S NAME DO YOU OUT-POSSESS A TEAM 71-29 AND GET OUTSHOT?

That may be the most "throw your controller if it's FIFA" goal I've seen this season.

Meanwhile, maybe La Liga won't be won by Madrid/Barca this season, because neither of them have started impressively.

Meanwhile, to be fair to Watford, they did pretty well until the first goal, and may have even been the better side until that point.

There is a very very long way to go yet, and I don’t see Zidane lasting much beyond Christmas at the latest. I can easily see Bale being the lynchpin who wins them the league this season after the way Zidane treated him in the close season.

As for Watford, that first goal was scored on 52 seconds. I’m not sure they were ever involved in that game beyondmakingup the numbers

Pretty sure Prederick knew that.

It was a good 52 seconds!

Good to know Leeds aren't the only ones who seem to be able to completely dominate games and not win

ManU falls to West Ham 2-0!

Originally created this for the Bournemouth game, but I probably should set up a script to post it for every game now.

We need to regroup. Fortunately, our next league game is against... *checks notes*...

Manchester City.

I thought Ole would make it to Christmas. I now don't know.

Ole’s not the problem. Man U issues start at the Glazers and Ed Woodward. Sure Ole lacks the skill to get a tune out of his squad but really, that’s not his fault.

As for Lampard at Chelsea they gave Liverpool a real challenge today and were unluck to lose (and I say that as a Liverpool fan!) I really hope Lampard gets the chance he deserves. He’s got Chelsea playing fantastic football with young exciting players and has really got the squad and fans behind him. I’ll give him his due, results might quite be going his way but they soon will be if he and Abramovich keep the faith.

I think the transfer ban will help extend Frank's leash.

Ole though.... eeeeeeeeeeesh.

Manchester United haven't won away since PSG.

God, I love entirely predictable regression.

I know no-one actually cares about the EFL Cup, but yeesh, what a crappy week for Tottenham. In six days they have:

- Surrendered a 2-0 lead to draw with Olympiacos
- Lost 2-1 to Leicester
- And now, lost to League Two Colchester on penalties in the EFL Cup.

Yep, it's real bad.

Are you kidding? We beat Pompey tonight away! This is probably the highlight of the entire season!

Considering how dead leg Spurs might get being in a never ending cup run bowing out early isn't the worst thing.

Arsenal 5-0 though. Yes! Also Tierney and a bunch of the youth players featuring. Not too shabby at all.

Something isn't right at Spurs. I think Poch is probably on his way to Real and most of his squad know it. Odd.

Correction Tierney started Bellerin came on as sub with an assist and Rob Holding had a goal also.

That's plenty of defensive depth coming back into the squad.

Martinelli at 18 doing this also. Might turn out to be a real steal.
