E3 2019 Predictions & Wishes

Probably my top interest this year. Spiders is a passionate developer who hasn't had the budget (read: time) to make a polished, high quality experience. Here's hoping Focus gave them enough time to do so.

Bethesda has already stated Starfield won't be present at E3, so... yeah, I guess something new from Arkane and... uh... they got other studios besides id and Arkane, right?

Shouldn't there be one for a cinematic that says "in game graphics"?
It is sort of the flip of the "live demo" that isn't live. Passing off the cinematic as the game vs passing off the game as the cinematic.

Yep, and garion already mentioned most of them: Bethesda Softworks (Fallout 76), Zenimax Online (ESO), and MachineGames (Wolfenstein).

The one garion forgot is Tango Gameworks (The Evil Within), who are expected to announce something.

I kinda hope it's Evil Within 3 but I also hope it's a new ip.

I'm excited about whatever it is since Shinji Mikami has been teasing that he's involved.

Well, it's his studio, right? Do they have more than one team?

He wasn't involved in Evil Within 2, so either they have multiple teams or he took some time off.

Same. The Evil Within 2 was surprisingly good, but it still had plenty of room for improvement. I would love to see what they could do with another crack at that formula.

I certainly wouldn't argue with some thing new though, especially if Mikami is involved.

Aha, had no idea he stepped down and only produced (per Wikipedia).

It would make sense if he handed that off while taking a small team and working on the pre-production of the next project. The timing lines up too. Been two years since Evil Within 2 and five since the original.

Based on all this my guess is it's not Evil Within 3. Or if it is, it'll be something of a departure from the original two.

We got Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order gameplay.

It looks... like a Star Wars game!

...yeah!

That pic right there really sells the dedication of imperial stormtroopers... Look! It's a guys with a lightsaber! I better run up really close and try to hit him with my glowing stick!.

In all seriousness, if the force power variety and lightsaber style variation is anything close to Jedi Academy I'll be totally sold on this!

At least the lightsaber...cuts? Occasionally?

Moved to EA thread.

Someone described the protagonist of Fallen Order as looking like character creator defaults. Which is spot-on on multiple levels.

Generic white guy, yeah, but this one doesn't look like a variation of Nathan Drake, I guess.

He looks like the actor that plays him, right? Cause the guy looks familiar.

Yeah, moreso in today's video than the one from months ago, but then again I'm used to seeing him in Joker makeup.
