As promised some Meeples listening goodness featuring the strumming talents of one Sean 'Elysium' Sands.

Oh was I supposed to include my Soundcloud. Here's my strummy stuff -- lots of stuff from the RPG podcasts here.

Thanks to Sean M for setting these up. You're a natural interviewer - keeping it informal but still managing to steer towards certain topics is a fine line to balance.

I know the hosts are too down-to-earth to consider themselves celebrities, but they are (at some level) for those of us who do not interact with them regularly. Their history and stories and how GWJ came to be is part of the "lore" of this place...

Sean M - keep up the great work.

Sean S - you keep doing you, big guy!! lol I hope you all keep doing this for another 10+ years...

Oops, yes, I used the wrong link. URL was a dead giveaway!

Not at all. I'm in the Meeples stuff too. I was adding to, not correcting.

Ah, good point! I'm a muppet. Switched link at the top back. Thank you for the clarification sir and congratulations on completing your court mandated Dark Souls service.

Somehow it is totally appropriate that I listened to this while shoveling snow from my driveway.

It was an excellent listen on both sides of the conversation.

If anyone else was digging for "A Few (Hopefully Not) Final Thoughts": https://www.gamerswithjobs.com/node/...

While I've really enjoyed all of these episodes, this one was, by far, my absolute favorite. I love hearing Sean and his sense of humor (which is very similar to mine), and his really heartfelt answers really struck a chord with me. Thank you for sharing this with the community, Mr. Sands.

also...I think you should officially change from "Elysium" to "Big Pilgrim"

Great podcast. I've had open heart surgery this January (4 bypasses). Things for sharing your experience and your view on life in general.

Oh my gosh, even with the warning I was not mentally prepared for the

comment. Gave me a laugh even as I squirmed in my seat.

I've really been enjoying these Keep up the good work!

Hey Sean S (too many Seans... maybe I should just refer to you by your title, "The Game King").

Thanks guys for the podcast. I'm very much enjoying hearing about this crowd of people who are a major part of my life. I enjoy hanging out with you all (incognito) on a weekly basis.

It wasn't clear what the business was that you and your wife ran for a while? Was it marketing or something? Just curious.

To be honest with you, I'm about 85% sure this is how I got my shot to make these episodes.

Do you own a microphone?

Is your name some variant of Sean/Shawn/Shaun?

Great! Get going.

I love these Gamers With Lives podcast episodes, and this one was especially fun to listen to. Great job on both sides.

I didn't realize Sean was in Minnesota. When you're in Saint Paul next time, hit me up via DM or Twitter. I'd love to chat and buy you a drink.

Great listen and I really liked some of Elysium's thoughtful and wholesome answers. Thank you for sharing and being open and putting yourself out there.

And 'your favorite day' being the first day of spring is such a Minnesota answer it made me laugh out loud.

Wonderful episode.

Mr. McKenna,

It's been absolutely wonderful to listen to the formative members of these forums speak more about the lives they live. None of it would be possible without your passion, dedication, and drive for excellence. This was absolutely your best epsiode and it's been a lovely pleasure to hear you grow and develop as an interviewer. It's a skill and a talent you clearly naturally possess, but have also honed over the course of these interviews. You have mastered the art of letting the interviewee do the work in the episode (after your incredible amount of preparation which was so clearly evident here) and giving them the space and opportunity to explore as your discuss. You aren't afraid of space and let the conversation breath in a natural and organic way, bravo sir, you are truly a joy to listen to!

I'd also like to bring forth Creating Gamers With Jobs: Pt. 1 and Pt. 2 which is Sean Sands brilliant exploration of the start of the site and moment beautifully captured in time.

Bloody hell, this was wonderful to read. Thank you so much! Recording of the next episode is next week, so I hope to live up to your high praise!
