Xbox One Wireless Controller with Logitech G933 wireless headset issue

So I recently purchased a wireless Xbox One controller to use with my PC for playing anthem. I have now run into an issue however that it is forcing me to connect my Logitech G933 wireless headset using the 3.5mm jack cable to the controller in order to get sound/voice to work. Anyone know of a way that I can use both wireless without needing to tether the headset to the controller?

Laptop is on Windows 10.

Check your audio settings. I'm willing to bet it switched over to the Xbox audio controller... I don't have one, so I can't tell you exactly what to look for, but it should be fairly obvious. You should also see the onboard audio controller. It should be a just a matter of re-enabling it as your desired audio source.

So setting the audio source didn't fix it however it allowed me to stumble onto the fix. If the XBox controller connected first then it forced the audio through the controller regardless of what I set as the audio source. However if I instead powered on and synched the wireless headset first then it would override the controller and work properly. What a pain!

Glad you figured it out!
