Congratulations to the winners!

Prize amounts in The Chase for the Kolb are based on the fact that, if they changed, nobody (i.e. *Legion*) didn't tell me so if they're not right, take it up with him. Also, as always, it is up to y'all to make sure that the awardees are correct for each category and report errors promptly or forever hold your peace.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

The prize amounts will be the ones that have been shown in the threads all year. I had planned on updating them but we'll go through with that next year

Congrats to the winners! What a strange football season.

Congrats to all the winners! Especially Emmes, thank you for beating ukick!

Grats!

Ouch, burned in the back!

In other news, is trading for 2019 in dynasty open now? hahaha

Thanks tboon, though you made out pretty well in kolb too!

Damien Williams, 2 year contract! :O

I'm excited for next year's dynasty. I think it might finally be the year I can turn over the roster and start players I picked.

Sorry Legion, stole your sig format...

Spoiler:

not really sorry

This weekend, I'll start sending out the prizes.

Emmes, check your PMs, I've got something to send you.

Thanks Legion, looking forward to it!

I just realized that Kevin Kolb is younger than both big ben and aaron rodgers. The eagles need to bring him back so there's some actual competition in next year's training camp!

Spoiler:

GWJFFL Trophy Case:
Division II: 2016
Division I: 2017
Pro: 2018

After they trade Foles, there's gonna be an opening that needs filling...

That's some impressive progression.

And by "this weekend", I actually meant, "much, much later."

Moneys have gone out via Paypal! The Kolb is in a box and on its way to its new rightful owner!

We still can't activate the Dynasty league early can we? I'd love to do the draft closer to when the actual draft happens.

a-pphh-a-early? Don't talk about early! Are you kidding me? Early? I just hope we can have a league!

Spoiler:

Seriously though, if there's enough interest, we can split Dynasty signups off from the main block, and have them early. If everyone says they're returning, or if we can find willing replacements for anyone who isn't, then we can open Dynasty earlier.

It's Dynasty. Clearly everyone is coming back.

Wait, someone else commented on the thread to open the league before I did? MADNESS

Spoiler:

I'd actually been trying to restrain myself until after the actual nfl draft, haha. WHO WANTS TO TRADE?!

Not drafting on Labor Day weekend would be amazing.

Also, belated Kolb championship pictures!

PS - best ball league to help introduce more people?

I think the previous year's winner should sign the jersey before passing it on to the next year's winner.

Also, this activate button on the league page is taunting me, haha.

I may have pushed the button, just to see what it does and it did a thing.

I can't believe it allows anyone to press that button and not just the commish.

I dunno, I saw a vikings Peterson *and* a cowboys Romo jersey when I was doing last minute halloween shopping at goodwill last year, and I still regret not buying them for the next winner. (I think they also weren't XL or larger)

It's like King Arthur's sword. You were able to press the button, so you're commish now.

Same is true of NFL threads. You created the Draft thread, now you're it!

I've long wanted to do a league that was best-ball, no transactions, and draft it early, as kind of a kickoff to the start of the fantasy year. Something to kick off some discussion while people are still signing up for the leagues, a draft everyone can go look at and talk about.

If Fleaflicker supported best ball format, I would have done this already.

And SPEAKING of Fleaflicker.... what would you guys say to considering another service?

I'm specifically thinking about Sleeper, which I've seen all the Reddit fantasy football players raving about for a while now.

Apparently the UI is great, the league chat feature makes for great trash talking, it looks like it should support our rule set (and maybe provide even more flexibility for Gonzo rules), it has some interesting features like "slow draft" support... there seems to be a lot there, and maybe a smoother and shinier experience might help liven things up around here?

I still need to dig into the guts to see what's there. But for the handful of you that are here hanging around a fantasy football thread in May... take a look and kick the idea around.

Changing sites is fine by me, but a couple notes after quickly looking at Sleeper:

They don't have auction drafts for pro and they don't have custom snake format like we do in dynasty where it goes 1 to 12 same order each round. Haven't looked much beyond that at this point but for a site that seems to be billing itself as feature-rich and more modern than others, it is lacking in some key areas.

Auction draft was Keeper, and that league died.

Lack of non-snake support for Dynasty might be an issue though.

We did the auction drafts at ESPN anyway and then imported results.
