Year of Trek

Julian But what I want to know is, which are the important episodes to watch, and which are the bad ones?

Garak: My dear doctor. They're all important to watch.

Julian: Even the bad ones?

Garak: Especially the bad ones.

Spoiler:

Just goofing, of course; watch what makes you happy.

On my first go-through of DS9, I used a similar list to skip the chaff. Was very helpful.

Great scene. Adding it if anyone else wants to rewatch it.

God damn that was a good episode.

They're all good. Best Trek.

I don't care how many awards or starring roles he gets. He'll always be Pig Vomit to me.

I'd love to know how they're going to incorporate a villain into a show that, from what I can tell, is all about a bunch of young adults going to school. Like, is there going to be a Principle Rooney or Principle Vernon character?

Nah, he's upset that Chateau Picard only produces merlot in the 32nd Century.

It's a Kurtzman show, so I'm sure they'll manage to work in a galaxy-ending threat somewhere between gym, lunch, and a bunch of unearned melodrama.

They just need to add houses (Command-dor, Engi-claw, Medi-puff, and Sci-therin), a sorting tribble, and an ambo-jyutsu tournament.

It's dead, Jim. At this rate, I wouldn't be surprised if the Starfleet Academy show ends up being another "tax write off."

The "Omega molecule" is such a silly MacGuffin.

I've watched DS9 at least 5 times through (I now put on an episode while making dinner every night) and the only episodes I skip every time are Move Along Home and Hard Time - O'Brien shouldn't suffer that much.

I always skip the mirror universe episodes. And Profit and Lace.

I caught Way of the Warrior on Pluto the other night and stayed up way too late watching it. Got me tempted to watch it all again

I love Way of the Warrior. It has a little bit of everything, it's almost like a second pilot to the show.

Wow, that's some great storytelling / class sci-fi though. I'd never skip it.

My wife never rewatches Hard Time. Breaks her "No bummers" rule. I love the episode and will always revisit it.

Prodigy season 2 is live! (In the U.S. and other places that aren’t France which got it early for no explainable reason)

All 20 episodes. Which is the first time any Trek show has ever done that. I watched the first two, a two-parter to jump start the season, tonight with the kids. All good so far.

Weirdly, Prodigy isn't available on Netflix up here in Canada

Tom's Hardware:

Canada is one of the only Netflix territories where "Star Trek: Prodigy" season 2 isn't available (as well as the likes of the Nordics, Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, Poland, Russia, Belarus, CEE countries and Mainland China).

Instead, Canada's broadcaster is CTV. The first season went out on its Sci-Fi Channel.

However, for the time being, there's no sign of the new episodes on CTV's upcoming schedule.

If you're from the U.S., have travelled north of the border and still want to watch "Star Trek: Prodigy", then we can only recommend that you take a peek at our guide to the best Netflix VPNs.

So please go pester Netflix and CTV online as much as possible.

Ugh. Of COURSE it's a different rights holder up here and they don't want to have it on Netflix. :'(

Thank you for the great rabbit trail. Loved it.

Argh, again, engineering solutions should come from Torres, not Janeway!
