Warren Sharp with a brutal tweet thread on the Jags offensive playcalling that lost the Steelers game.

In my planned writeup for the week I was going to parallel the Jags game with the Divisional game from last year. Work got in the way of that, sadly.

Anyway, glad to see Sharp take them to task, as he did after the playoff game.

Edit:

Well done. Contrast with:

I think Colin Cowherd nails it here. I agree with every word.

Adrian Peterson still beats his kids.

Huh.

I promised myself I would just lurk and not post, but that pic will get me through hosting Thanksgiving with my MAGA Ranger relatives.

Detroit won the halftime show over Dallas. I don’t know how this, whatever this is, got green lit.

"It's amazing, Drew Brees doesn't throw interce...."

Texans owner Bob McNair has died of cancer.

To this, I will only say: f*ck cancer, and I hope the Texans become a better, more socially conscious organization in the years to follow.

We've got another week of Lamar Jackson as Flacco has been ruled out and Jackson named the starter.

Oh there was football?

Wife had our baby Wednesday. Been busy in NICU.

Go Lamar. Probably won't get to watch.

Congrats! You've got a few more things to worry about.

Congrats. I had picked up Jackson for fantasy as soon as I saw he might get to play last week, as I was looking for a week 12 replacement for Mahomes. I ended up going with Dad Prescott, mainly because Jackson's game had rain, and I had a gut feeling about Prescott (worked well enough, as he put up more points than my opposing QB, Drew Brees).

But I think Jackson is going to pass more this week, and could have a big game if things go right. I think it was easier to let him run loose the first week, which now creates a crazy dilemma for Oakland in trying to defend him. I won't be surprised if he beats out Prescott's totals.

I'm here for the Jags-Bills beef.

The last time I saw a unit as decimated as the Jags O-line, it was in Mutant Football League.

Bortles still the biggest problem though.

I watched the Patriots-Jets. My hot take is that it wasn't as good as the Chiefs-Rams.

In Jax-Buf the fact that you can't take runups on kick coverage any more completely neuters the onside kick now.

Lamar wins!

Great job abandoning the run Gmen. Phenomenal conservative and balanced approach...

Good god, Carolina. WHAT HAPPENED?!

Reupping this from a week ago.

In three short weeks the Panthers have gone from a longshot of winning the South but a great shot at a WC to no shot in hell at the South and a fading chance at a WC spot.

I'm already dreading next week's game against Tampa.

Am here for Seahawks WR TD celebrations all day.

Go Hawks.

Thanks for that, we need all the help we can get.

Kicker TD pass to an offensive tackle.

The only great thing I've seen today.

Get real. Iverson over Lue FlashbackFlashbackFlashback is the best thing today.

McCarthy's coaching credentials need to be put up before the Coaching Board and he should be sued for coaching malpractice.

Local sports radio twitter poll had 60% of Eagles fans picking Shurmur as the reason Eagles won the game.

The Panthers/Seahawks game looked exciting, if not nerve-wracking for fans of those teams. Sorry for your loss, Enix.

Eagles won a game that was not only way closer than it should have been, but just... man. Like, it's a relief to beat the Giants, but even with some of their better players back on the line the Giants should have been an easy win. Every time the announcers said "defending Super Bowl champs" it felt like salt in the wound, and while I appreciate the comedy of the NFL Shop's ad with the Cowboys/Eagles fan, it is now spot on to an uncomfortable degree.

I have a feeling, deserved or not, that someone's getting fired at the end of the season.

I'd agree with that.

Yes, but this is the Giants you're talking about. Over the last three season, they've allowed numerous teams to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. Almost always in the last 3 minutes or so.

The Giants coaching was abysmal and yes I agree with the poll results. Shurmur has a lot to prove because his playcalling has been lacking big time. Seems like 2 misses so far with back to back coaching moves.

3 misses. I include the last year or two of Tom Coughlin's tenure as 'miss' too.

However, I still believe that the fundamental problem is Giants unwillingness to part company with Eli Manning or at least give him proper competition for the job.
