Anyone know if I can add more months to my Xbox live and have the Ultimate deal? I did already activate it a couple months ago.
As far as I know, that was a one-time offer. I tried buying another year of Gold from Amazon but when I added the code, it gave me only 4 more months of Ultimate.

^ this. The documentation says all codes and payments after count as partial months based on price.
I tried to play State of Decay 2. It started out alright but after the tutorial everything turned bright green. It was unplayable. I haven't had a similar issue in any other game.
On the 2nd try everything worked fine and I've been enjoying some zombie killing, community building, survival action. This is a good one. Its a bit crashy (2 so far in about 8 hours) but it auto-saves frequently.

Damnit. Thanks

Sadly, you're not missing much... I say that having not played since they updated the campaign though.

for singleplayer i've played through a couple times on pc, one of my kids on xbox has played quite a bit, haven't seen any issues or crashes so far.
now multiplayer is another issue, trainwreck is the nice way to describe it. that crashes constantly.
Bloodstained is, like, really good.
Bloodstained is, like, really good.
is it good IF you like brutal platforming? Thats what I got from the awful, awful trailers on the xbox app.
I'm not that far in, but it's not THAT brutal. Certainly nothing compared to a Cuphead or Hollow Knight.
It's feels a lot slower and more deliberate, less twitch.

I'm old and slow and not very good at fighting games and I've never played Castlevania. I nearly hit a brick wall at the very first boss and struggled with the second boss. Outside of that, it's not hard at all so far. If you are having trouble, the game gives you lots of different tools for solving problems and also lets you grind to become more powerful.
It wasn't on my radar screen at all, but it is satisfying in the same way as Steamworld Dig 2.

Ohhhh baby!!
It's been on Game Pass for a while, but I finished The Outer Wilds last night. I think it's one of the most emotionally resonant and beautiful games I've played. Been thinking about it all day.
It's much longer and more substantial than I expected. I think it took me 25-26 hours to finish. I can't recommend it enough.
Aw, man, I keep thinking of going back to finish the Outer Wilds, because of reactions like yours. I've put at least 10-15 hours into it, and have filled in a whole lot of my clues, but I hesitate to try further because I feel like I need to be more actively engaged in the mysteries than I can be. I'm reading all the things I find and expanding as much of the clues as I can, but feeling like at a certain point I have to be able to understand things well enough that I know what happens where when, and I just don't think I'm up for it. My biggest problem is that the mechanics of navigating are difficult enough that, even when I have an idea for the next thing I'd like to do, it's pretty easy for me to screw it up repeatedly in a way that can lead to me spending 30-40 minutes trying and failing to land at a certain spot. Too much friction between intention and reality for me. But it's still installed on my Xbox, just waiting for me to become more ambitious...
I can see that being a problem. Navigation got easier for me after a while (that match velocity button is a life-saver, use it all the time, like space brakes). And the game is pretty forgiving of rough landings; I never once used the landing camera, preferring a bounce hard and thrusters down 'til it sticks kind of thing.
Toward the very end, I was getting a little restless to finish, so I looked up the last 3 things I couldn't figure out how to accomplish. 2 of them I had figured out and executed wrong, and 1 was kind of a forehead slapper. But I was able to figure out what to do without spoiling what I was going to find when I did it.
The ending sequence was just completely unexpected. I don't know that I've played a game that left me feeling something so profoundly, and not because of some great acting or writing but because it's the mature and true culmination of everything I've spent the last 25 hours doing.
Yeah, those "figured out and executed wrong" moments are the ones that frustrate me the most, because in the moment, I just have no idea if I need to keep trying what I'm doing or if it's the idea that I have wrong. But your words about the ending are making me feel like agh, I can't leave this unfinished. Maybe I'll use a guide to figure out how many things are between me and the ending and how quickly I can brute force my way to it.
Panzer Dragoon Orta arrives Oct 17th. Gamepass makes me so happy.
Is Outer Wilds on PC game pass, or only Xbox? I couldn’t find it

I'm definitely looking forward to The Outer Worlds when it releases later this month. Unfortunately, it looks like Epic has an exclusive on Outer Wilds on PC for now.
Oops
I think it’s showing for PC on the Microsoft Store and is included with Game Pass ? https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/th...
I played one of the recent Game Pass additions over the weekend, Felix the Reaper. I did not care for it!
I was intrigued by the look and the premise. On startup, a screen tells you you're playing "A romantic comedy about the life of death." I don't think I've ever played a game that called itself a romantic comedy before! And the game has a very stylized design that was interesting to me at first. The design reminds me very much of the Odd Gentleman's 2016 (or thereabouts) Kings Quest reboot, an animation style that looks very European to me, with lots of big curves and thick outlines. Even the fonts and UI feel like that Kings Quest game to me. I did some quick googling and don't see any obvious connections between the two games, but I wouldn't be surprised to learn that Kong Orange, the developer, has some connection to the Odd Gentlemen. Based on that, it seemed promising to me.
Unfortunately, the game quickly revealed itself as a frustrating and not that interesting puzzle game. You're Felix, you're a reaper, and you're told you're in love with a woman who works for heaven in some similar but opposite capacity. Felix is depicted wearing headphones all the time and he dances to the beat as you move him. Like a lot of things in this game, it's supposed to be cute, but I just found it irritating. I usually dislike when people insult things as 'twee' but...this game is painfully twee. The puzzles involve moving objects into paths so that they will result in death for your target, but your movement is limited to tiles that are in shadow. You rotate the angle of the sun between two positions, so the puzzles are based around figuring out the intersections between two sets of shadows and how to move objects to help you bridge any gaps. I bailed on only the 3rd or 4th puzzle after I tried every solution I could possibly imagine and just could not figure it out. There's some mechanic I'm failing to understand, but the game isn't teaching me, and, although I considered looking up a walkthrough to get past it, I realized I just don't need to keep playing this.
So. Bleh! This was a pretty quick pick up and put down.
Is there a way to do a multi-month subscription on PC or is it only month-to-month since it's a beta?
This are the next games coming this month and the begining of next month, most of them are outstanding, this is the console list, some of them are also coming to PC:
* Lonely mountains downhill Oct-23
* Secret Neighbor(sequel to Hello Neighbor) Oct-23
* Minit Oct-24
* THE OUTER WORLDS Oct-25
* Afterparty Oct-29
* Lego Star Wars III Oct-31
* SUBNAUTICA Nov-7
Gamepass for PC finished pre-loading Outer Worlds. Really looking forward to that one.
I can't believe you guys are going to try to play an Obsidian game on release day. Madness.

Every review I've read has specifically mentioned how surprisingly functional it is.
What's up with Hello Neighbor? Is it any good? I feel I have seen this game *everywhere* in the last year or so and yet have no idea what it is. Is it based on some property? Is it super popular, or is my feeling that I'm seeing it everywhere not a common experience? I remember having that feeling with Five Nights at Freddy's, where I was vaguely aware it was a thing that existed and suddenly saw it everywhere but was still a little surprised to learn just how popular it was.
Which title is the obsidian game?

I’ve been playing Bad North on Xbox. It’s a very simple and light hearted RTS with rogue-like mechanics. It’s fun. I absolutely love the art design. Muted colors and lots of solid grays and slate blues. Simplistic doodle-like graphics. It’s a hidden treasure.
