Remember, they flexed to this...

...from Rams and Niners, but still.

The Kareem Hunt Show is worth watching, regardless. What a beast.

Chiefs!

Nah, I made the right choice. Highlights will do the job for me.

Let's review Week 7, which was absolutely bonkers:

* Chargers win when the Titans can't convert a 2-pt try with 30 seconds left

* Bears lose at home after Mitchell "Mitch" Trubisky completes a hail mary -- but it's a yard short.

* The Bills scored 5 points

* Blake Bortles bot benched bafter bumbling btwice.

* The Eagles (aka your defending Super Bowl champs) choked away a 17-point fourth-quarter lead at home.

Spoiler:

TO THE PAAAAAAAAANTHERRRRRRRRRS!

* Bucs beat the Browns in OT on a 59-yd FG, while the Ravens lose when Justin Tucker misses his first XP ever. Oh, and Dallas lost on a missed FG after their long-snapper was flagged for moving the ball. (He didn't.)

* The Chiefs scored a million points in the Sunday night game.

* The NFL sitcom known as the Giants play tonight.

* And Baker Mayfield is now a meme:

Okay, after doing some Googling I've now learned a Safety is two points. All makes sense again.

Shouldn't need a trade. Should have f*cking signed Teddy when he was sitting on the FA market getting little interest, costing the team nothing but some unused cap space.

This season is exactly what I said it would be. Jags defense regresses into being "just" a top 10 unit, can no longer paper over glaring offensive deficiencies. Add in the fact that the injury luck has now hit them where it hurts (offensive line and Fournette) rather than the WR corps last year that they could live without, and here we are.

At least Dante Fowler got a sack yesterday, so I have that to enjoy.

I can live with the Niners rebuild being set back a year without Garoppolo and McKinnon. The Jags I can't stand because it's self-inflicted.

The Jags looked way better with Kessler under center. If the guy gets some first teams snaps going forward, maybe they can make something of it. Of course, they won't do that and Borkles will be starting again this week.

Being reported that Amari Cooper's being traded to Dallas.

For a 1st round pick.

Raiders now have three 1st round picks in 2019, and two in 2020.

And Gruden will screw em all up.

Kessler will take unnecessary hits and go into concussion protocol again.

Not to mention the teams making these deals are paying 1.25? 1.5? On the dollar.

Sure Khalil Mack is a stud but that was a big package. The talking heads will only make it seem even better when the Raiders screw the picks up.

(NO IM NOT BITTER THE PACKERS DIDNT GET HIM)

This photo is Chiefs Nation right now.

Charles Robinson at Yahoo has suggested the Jags could trade for Derek Carr, and now this is the only thing I want.

Kinda makes sense? At 27 he seems just a tad too young for the Raiders to hit full reset explosion mode.

Lament Bridgewater, wish for Carr, talk yourself into accepting Manning when he comes.

Carr will barely be an upgrade over Bortles with the current state of the Jags OL.

And maybe Carr has incentive to want out:

Raiders headquarters is not the best space for Carr. The belief in him has deteriorated, perhaps to irreparable levels. Team sources describe a fractured relationship between Carr and his teammates, mostly because confidence in him has waned. It certainly didn’t help when film showed what looked like him crying after being sacked and injuring his arm. They saw his face. They heard his whimper. They witnessed him explain on the sidelines. They assuredly watched it again in film session. It’s hard to see how Carr can lead this team again.

Ser-pen-tine!

Damn football is toxic

It's also possible that the Bills scored a rugby try. Who knows what game they're actually playing, amirite?

A trade likely wouldn't happen during the season (even with Gruden in sell-sell-sell mode, I don't think he would be in a hurry to turn to AJ McCarron, who didn't join the team until September), but more likely would be an offseason deal before the draft.

NOOOOOO

Denver Post story

Kelly was taken into custody after Englewood Police Department officers were called to a home on the 3200 block of South Lincoln Street because of a man standing outside the residence, according to a Englewood police news release. While officers were responding they received information that the man was inside the apartment.

The man was chased out and officers began a search. They found a man who matched the suspect’s description inside a black SUV in the area of the Gothic Theater, the news release said.

Oof, you stole that from my week 8 thread cause I didn't get it up in time.

Week 8.
