NFL 2018 Week 2

PFF's offensive line rankings through week 2

Garion will appreciate the blurb for the Patriots.

Seattle's not last, but they're damn close.

And Houston, holy shit, I don't think I know a single one of those names.

And continuing the Factory of Sadness theme we have this season, one of the reasons the Chiefs OL is ranked 7th is LG Cam Erving just tearing it up. The OL is not elite, but each piece is doing a good enough job that it has been a solid start to the season.

Carolina at No. 27 is better than I figured, considering that only of the 5 is starting at his real position, and that guy (C Ryan Kalil - aka the Good Kalil) is 125 years old.

Chicago has quietly been lights out in protecting young quarterback Mitch Trubisky through two weeks. The Bears are the only team in the NFL who hasn’t allowed a single sack or hit all season, feeding into the team’s second-ranked pass-block grade.

Wow, does that mean we're seeing peak Trubisky at this point? That's a bad sign...

Daaaaaayum!

So...who thinks the Browns have a chance tonight?

I do

I'm surprised in the Bridgestone commercial that Gruden didn't send his tires off to Chicago in exchange for some tricycle wheels.

Someone's getting sassy.

I saw a news blurb quoting Derek Carr on how it's hard seeing Mack out there "strip-sacking everybody".

I don't think the Eagles got booed this much when they were losing.

Baker Mayfield warming up yet?

Now that was a rather Cleveland penalty.

Until Mayfield came on, this was the most hapless half of passing.

Tyrod 4-of-14 for 19 yards
Darnold 4-of-9 for 38 yards

That corkscrewing field goal though.

Does Darnold know what team he's on?

1-1-1!

So, when is the unveiling for Mayfield's statue?

Same day the Jets get relegated down to the NCAA.

nah, they'll just release more balloons

And yet he still looked better than Tyrod.

We need this so badly! Would love to see Jets/Lions get punished for ineptitude and Alabama put in the big leagues.

Yeah what the hell happened there?

I mean, Tyrod has always been limited, but still competent at minimum.

This is another year of the whole "get a veteran and keep your rookie on the bench" idea being deflated by week 3. Rosen and Lamar the only ones left, and as you said, the former is likely due to that PFF 32nd ranked offensive line. (And the latter was expected, and Flacco hasn't been trash yet)

Baker Mayfield comes into the game and throws passes to Jarvis Landry.

Tyrod Taylor is in the game and throws passes to no one.

It's not tough, throw to Landry.

Cleveland’s defense had just 18 pressures through Week 3 in 2017; three games into the 2018 season, the Browns have totaled a whopping 41 pressures.

Daaaaaamn.

3 games into his career and Denzel Ward is already more accomplished than Justin Gilbert.

Hell, Denzel Ward equaled Gilbert's career accomplishments by simply starting 3 games, let alone actually doing anything in them.

Somehow I had missed the final play of the Texans/Titans game, and Deshaun Watson's abysmal situational awareness.

It would have been one thing if they had a timeout left and he just got carried away and let the clock bleed too much for a catch-and-call-timeout play.

But having NO timeouts, and being aware of that fact, the ball has to come out or it has to get thrown away immediately.

Giants are benching Ereck Flowers and starting a second-year undrafted free agent (Chad Wheeler) in his place.

Arrowhead is lit. The Niners are getting the full Arrowhead Noise treatment. It Mahomes first home game of his career, and fans are a little amped.

Chiefs force a three and out and a scared SF punts it out of bounds at the Chiefs 44. It’s go time!

Did the Raiders finally remember that they have Jordy Nelson on the roster?

Buffalo's up 24-0. Is Vontae Davis going to un-retire at halftime?

Finally a Mahomes TD pass. I was beginning to think he forgot how.

And now a second TD pass ties him with Peyton Manning for most TDS in the first three games of a season.

28-7 Chiefs.
