Fixed, thanks!

I'm going to give Sean the benefit of the doubt and assume he mixed up meters and feet, because Canada.

Jet airplanes do not cruise at 12000 feet, Sean. The primary reason being that jet engines are horribly inefficient at that altitude, but also because then there would be an awful lot of Canadians on mountains to dodge.

Yours,
Jonman
Senior Propulsion Engineer
The Boeing Company

P.S. in your defense, 12,000 ft is a reasonable cruise altitude for an airplane with a piston engine. Your Cessnas etc.

Jokes on you, it was a twin prop on a short flight from Toronto to Hartford.

I blame myself. I knew he was wrong, and I didn't take advantage of every possible opportunity to correct him. Worry not, I won't make this error again.

I mean, he wasn't wrong. He was just imprecise and didn't specify which airplanes.

But don't worry, I'm not letting that get in the way of me blaming you too.

With great power, Your Majesty....

Game King =/= Plane King

Head's Up: Did a short write-up on some of the games I tried at PAX West that was mentioned on this show!
