My Old-A** Body Is Breaking Down Catch-All

The light show was amazing. I was conscious enough to watch that and listen to the staff discuss their favorite skiing destinations.

The vibe at the surgery place -- and it's interesting, all this place does is surgeries -- was really positive and upbeat. It was nice to see.

Guys, I haven't posted here in ages but this thread is pretty much me.

I recently learned that you can get an HSV-I infection IN YOUR EYE. It really sucks too. My eye doc said that under magnification it looks like a tree branch growing out right in the center of my vision.

I quickly started a very effective anti-viral, but doc said it'll likely now reoccur from time to time and I must take this quickly b/c if my immune system sends troops to fight this it'll scar and I may lose vision. Now every time my eye waters or feels like it's got something in there, I'm reaching for the meds.

I'll just take a pass on posting about my body's need for physical therapy on SOMETHING at all times.

You know how one feels old? Cataract surgery! In two weeks. I am nervous as hell.

My dude, don't worry. I worked for Alcon for 5 years and I saw cataract surgery up front. It's 95% measurements before and the day of surgery, then the surgery itself is like 15-30 minutes max. Then your vision is perfect.

On my end, I had hip resurfacing surgery about 3 months ago. I'm still rehabbing and rebuilding my strength, but I love it. The pain I had in my hip for years is gone. I just have to be patient as I strengthen my hip and let the bones and tissue heal.
