The Division 2 - Catch All

Use cover and take your time is the basic tip, don't rush on enemies, use your skills (there are great at early stage) and enjoy the ride

Also, you will get tons of loot so just pick what you like but don't get too attached to it.

There's a refer-a-friend thing going on right now, so if anyone's joining PC here's my link. Apparently you can do this retroactively as long as you bought within the last 7 days, but it has to be a new account. After the referral goes through (involves activating through an email that gets sent), we run 3 missions or strongholds together, and we each get some neat stuff (outfit parts and an LMG) and the referred player gets a 20% XP boost while we're grouped up.

I've got the items, I'd rather someone else have a chance to grab them than get another backpack item.

I'm Veloreyn on Uplay, so even if you newbies don't sign up on my link go ahead and send me a request, I'm normally down to help powerlevel people when I'm on.

Ok so I was able to use the link. Now we need to do 3 missions.

Nice! I don't normally do stuff like this, so it feels a little weird, but figured I'd throw it out there. I may be on tonight (after about 9PM EST), but if not I'll definitely be on tomorrow night and a bit over the weekend. 3 missions really don't take too long, especially considering they'll be on Story difficulty, which you have to clear at least once before replaying a mission at a higher difficulty.

Pur, Sent you a friend request on uplay. I'll be on.

Just accepted it this morning. Sorry I couldn't hop on last night, but I should be on tonight after 8PM, maybe earlier.

Had a pretty good time with this. Got 2 hours in maybe. When I start leveling will being over leveled for an area be beneficial or will things under my level auto scale?

I believe it auto scales until you hit max level and world tiers .

Yup auto updates to your level. That's why it's a good practice to constantly be upgrading your gear. I know a lot of folks would struggle because they'd find stuff they like and didn't want to give it up 5-10 levels later.

You'll have PLENTY of time and opportunity to find that perfect piece once you hit max level.

Last night with the nice 20% xp buff I got with the refer a friend I went from lvl 4 to 21. We partied up and hit a bunch of my story missions. If anyone is interested in starting up here is my referral code so we can get the same buff and some cool gear.

Add me on Uplay: IgneusMortia

Request send and used the refer-a-friend link.

I got Div2 for free sometime last year when I got a new computer, but I left it shelved since it seemed like people had largely moved on. I'm down to mess around with it some. I'll try to be on at some point the next couple of evenings, but I never quite know when there will be uninterrupted time anymore.

I had a bit of a rude awakening when I logged in this morning and attempted to keep using that shotgun. It was absolutely shredding everything last night, but I could barely kill even a normal red enemy with it this morning unless I was right in their face. I don't have any bonus to shotgun damage, so it's not surprising, just caught me off guard since the map loads at WT5 when I'm solo.

For anyone else coming back in, the guild I'm in is pretty open to taking newcomers. It's called LTN Dweebs, the other three original members and I all work together. I'm pretty sure we have it set to invite only, so just request access and we'll get you in. We're small, but we're fairly active in game and last night was a blast powerleveling Igneus up. At some point I might be able to get those three to join here, since I think they'd fit in pretty well with GWJ.

BTW, did you ever get the apparel items?

The apparel items for the recruit is only general caches. But I did get the lvl 30 stinger

I was running a SPAS/ACR/Turret combo last night to complete 2 projects.

It was shredding fools. Caught myself saying "In da face" more than once.

Which platform are you on? I'm SrMalo495 on PS4.

I was using a crappy ACS-12 with nothing in the way of shotgun damage bonuses, but I was tearing people apart being WT5 in a level 29 instance with Igneus. I could one or two shot normal enemies, and shred elites with the rapid fire. The problem being once in my own WT5 instance... I did f*ck all for damage with it.

I've actually worked up a set that is somewhat viable for shotgun damage at WT5. it's not great, but it is fun. Unfortunately I'm still not really tanky enough to handle being short range, but of course long range shotguns aren't really a think in TD2. Still, I have something like 60% bonus to assault rifles, so it works well when someone gets up close with me. I'm bouncing between Tsunami (2 body shots refills the mag ever 15s or something) and Sweet Dreams for the reload perk.

I'm on PC.

I can't start this game. It keeps on going through the accessibility optioins and never launches. Same thing happened to my friend. Maybe $3 is too much.

What platform?

Never came across this issue.

I had what I thought was a similar issue. When I first loaded it up it ran the accessibility settings. The voice over menu was super annoying. So I made sure to click it off. But it kept up. I restarted the game, same thing. It takes you going all the way through the settings and saving before it takes effect. Then the game loads normally.

The Division 2 looks awesome on GeForce Now with maximum graphics settings... once you get it running.

By default it loads with medium settings. If you set Ultra settings, they take effect next time you launch the game. At which point it loads with medium settings, because you get a different server.

Here’s what you have to do to make it work:

• Start the game from GeForce Now and log into Uplay.
• Set graphics settings to maximum, and apply. It will say they will be applied for your next game.
• Set video settings to windowed, 720p.
• Minimize the Division 2 window, and click on the minimized Uplay window that appears.
• Click yes when it asks if you want to log in to a different Uplay account.
• Wait for Uplay to reload on the remote server, then log in to the same Uplay account again.
• When the game loads this time, it won’t be installed from scratch, so it won’t set graphics to default.
• Set video back to full screen and enjoy.

This is extra fun if you are using 2 factor auth on your Uplay account. That rigmarole is annoying, but at least the game can run with the best possible graphics settings.

Level 30, now to finish the strongholds? Then move on to the tier progression.

I tried to get this to work, but according to the support page (but not listed on the refer-a-friend page), the recruit can't have played more than 2 hours in the past 7 days.
That explains why your link takes me to a page where I get my own link instead of counting as a recruit for you.

No problem. Add your own code. I was able to qualify for my hunter gear. The only thing additional friends will do is add backpack trinkets. The best part of the friend thing is the 20% increase in XP. Be sure to add as a friend for the PC though so we can help you out.

It was on the Xbox. Found the way to bypass it was clicking right trigger (I think) to load profile before it got that that point. Now it works normally.

Awesome. It is a great game honestly. I only played a month after release but that 55 hours or so was a blast.

I played some last night on the PC (through Nvidia Geforce Now). Two out of the three sessions went well. The bad session was due more to my wifi than NGN. I am digging the game (although I prefer the winter snowfall of TD1 more than Spring of TD2). Still a mere level 4 or 5, but having fun.

I quite liked the winter setting, too.
