WoW: Battle for Azeroth (now rockin' 8.3)

Permanent Solo Party Sync!
Being able to reset quests daily and level scale down to whatever zone you want to quest in would be awesome!

I wonder if it will be pre-Legion invasion events or something like it. That seemed to be really popular and lucrative for leveling.

I'd even settle for daily BFA invasions. Or even invasions every 6 or 12 hours. That would work for leveling and rep gain boosts.

I've got a little bit more to go to hit exalted with 7th legion.
About 3K more till dark Iron dwarves

Thanks to a fortuitous invasion last night, I unlocked Dark Iron Dwarves.
Can't say I am super happy with the unlock quest requiring as dungeon run but I queued for it and got it done in under an hour. (only to have 2 more longer than necessary steps)

Bring on whatever this next alt friendly buff patch. When they typically talk "alt friendly" they mean changes at level cap or somewhere after level 110-115. I am hoping since a major feature of this expansion is the level squish, "alt friendly" will support a broader level range.

I am wondering if they will do something like make this the patch that removes the rep grind for flying. I.E. the one where they make it a gold sink as planned.

I've had to do some dungeon runs as part of profession quests, too. It's not terrible - just time-consuming bc of the DPS wait.

I'm finding that the runs themselves are fine. At this point most folks know how the instances work and/or are decently geared, or both. Most folks seem to want to get in and get out pretty quickly.

Meanwhile, I was doing the Horde version of the Battle for Lordaeron and missed a portal, which held up the group for about, oh, 45 seconds. When I caught up with the group, some jackass /spit on me. I let those Horde motherf*****s carry me the rest of the way and laughed at that jerk when he stood in plague and died.

This game, I swear.

Damn that is rough.
I don't get people either. I wonder what will happen when we do get neuralink, empowering those already emboldened by anonymity. "It's just a game!"

So the rep buff is gone and replaced with... nothing?
I haven't confirmed but there is supposedly a corruption vendor now. I know it is big for a select group mostly.
If this is the "alt friendly" mechanic, Blizzard can suck it. And it would be typical of their vision of "alt friendly" nee rich get richer "level cap friendly".

I might be done until pre-patch or if I get into alpha or beta.

FWIW this isn’t normal in other MMOs. I had a really rough run in Elder Scrolls the other night but after a couple wipes we slowed down, worked out strategy, and finally beat the boss. In WOW I’m sure after the first wipe somebody would wish my whole family died in a fire. The toxic player base is why I’m hesitant to go back.

This is why I stick to guild dungeon runs. That's hard to do while leveling though.

Honestly it's the asshats I remember most.

I was in a not-so-great LFG run the other day - I was healing a dungeon as Disc, and a lot of tanks don't seem to know that Disc is great at preventing damage but not so great at catching up if the whole group took a big collective hit and persists in standing in bad stuff. We wiped, regrouped and did fine the rest of the way. It was ... fine!

Drama-free runs are really more the norm. I just have to vent about the really bad runs, which are few and far between in my experience.

I think it's quite helpful for alts that have just hit level cap and want to get a couple of specific corruptions to catch up with the characters that have had a couple of months to accumulate optimal ones.

Yeah it's like driving - you notice and remember the one guy driving like a lunatic rather than all of the people driving normally.

Lot's of cool customization is being shown off the last month or so that is upcoming. Would be fantastic if they gave undead an upright position, similar to Orcs. Blue skin and red eyes for BE's would be cool too

Whoops! Wrong forum. Think it's time to go home.

PS: Been leveling my Brewmaster monk. He's pretty sturdy, and he kills things reasonably fast but if I'm not careful his health can drop pretty fast and it's hard to recover it quickly.

Yeah, a lot of Brewmaster's survivability comes from being easy to heal. But that only helps if there's somebody healing you. Fortunately Stagger now clears when you're out of combat. Back before they made that change I had a bad habit of finishing a hectic fight and then keeling over dead a couple seconds later.

On a related note, I don't see the talent recommended that often, but the self-heal with the two charges is pretty decent for soloing out in the world.
