Hey guys, I'm from Uruguay and I've never heard of that genesis game!

I'm a long time listener of the podcast but never posted until now, Julian mentioning my country made me laugh quite a bit, though I'm not sure why he chose it!

Keep up the good work guys!

Question for Certis or whomever: where do the fabled “show notes” for a given episode usually end up? In this thread?

I've been travelling so they've been a bit delayed. They're at the top with the post.

Northgard sounds interesting, and the graphics immediately make me think of Warcraft 3.

Certis, having played both what are you thoughts on it vs Surviving Mars if you had to pick one?

Pretty apples and oranges, but I think Northguard is more fun for me. It has a definite end to each game where Mars is more leisurely and open ended.

So the colonists never rebelled against you?

Thanks. I was considering from the standpoint of which strategy game I would want to spend time with.

Horizon: Zero Dawn is going to be a game that keeps calling to me back in I think. It's world is wonderful and the robot fights are always fun. I'm so comfortable with the game now I can just hop in and run around exploring and taking screenshots.

Lord of the RIngs Online is something I probably get pulled back to once ever five years or so. But not the whole game, just The Shire. There is something so delightfully low-key about the Quests there that I get a hankering to "vacation" there every now and then.

I loved hearing DT Greg talk about Fallout 3, because I do exactly the same thing, for pretty much the same reasons. While I like to mix it up with different skill choices and builds, I can never play evil for very long.

I like to revisit New Vegas and Fallout 4, but New Vegas is still too dern buggy on the PS3 to be rewarding. F4 is more recent, so perhaps not as nostalgic yet.

I come back to Skyrim and Deus Ex for similar reasons. The common thread is that the atmosphere -- especially the music -- are so *drink* evocative.

Also MGSV, because I haven't finished it yet.

And Civ. Civ para siempre.

I just caught up on this podcast. The game that keeps pulling me in is Crusader Kings II, thanks to the countless DLC that have been steadily coming out since launch. I've also been enjoying Project1999 with friends, but hadn't thought about jumping back into EQ since the mid-2000s.

I wanted to like Gold Rush so badly. I'm a sucker for a good sim game, but this one just didn't stick. The controls were just painful to use. I'm hoping for a goldrush 2.0 somewhere down the line.

Ghost of a Tale is currently on sale for $19.99 on GoG Gaming.

Question. Do you think this game would be ok for a 9 year old girl? You said it was simplistic but do you think it is too dark or scary?

Keep in mind I haven't finished it, but so far I'd so it's ok. The rats are kinda scary, but I'd stick it in Labyrinth territory only with less codpieces.
