Shadow of the Tomb Raider Catch All

I will never not be excited for a new Tomb Raider

More info next month, and it's disappointing the teaser has a "Not Actual Gameplay" tag at the bottom. But Tomb Raider (2013) and Rise of the Tomb Raider are some of my favorite games from the last few years, so I'm definitely excited to play more.

And it looks like it will be on all platforms simultaneously this time! No year of Xbox exclusivity.

Boo yaa! Great news, thanks for sharing.

Are you excited for the movie as well? Starts this weekend here, 52% on Rotten Tomatoes so far.

Yeah I'm looking forward to seeing the movie, even though the trailers haven't wowed me. If there's some solid action I'll be happy.

As someone who fell in love with the reboots and never really connected with the originals, I am VERY excited.

Also it's great to see the studio going in hard on announcing a game (despite LOADS of leaks!) and releasing 6 months later.

I'm very happy about the non-exclusivity period (I'll be playing on PC). Rather enjoyed the last two, so happy to give this one my full attention as well.

I'm glad there will be a third one, I haven't played the 2nd but enjoyed the first. I was a bit worried that they'd can it considering the stupid sales figure it failed to meet for the first one and the false start with the Xbox exclusivity for the 2nd.

The first one was my game of the year it was out on PC so I’m definitely excited for this. Probably not a day one purchase considering my financial and time consideration. It’s already a packed year with Battletech, PoE 2, and AC: Origibs expansions out or coming soon.

A new Tomb Raider means I actually have a Western game release to look forward to this year. In like Flynn (whichever Flynn it is we're talking about).

Good news that it’s releasing on all platforms. I think the Xbox exclusivity killed their sales, will be interesting to see how they do with access to more popular platforms right off the bat.

Edit: With the exception of the Switch. Given the sales figures on that console, you’d think there will have to be a version of most major multiplayer releases on it going forwards.

Jumping in here to get on board. I loved the last one, despite its flaws. I really want to see Lara succeed at unlocking all our mysteries and resolving her father issues at the same time.

Also, also: Those pyramids are from South America so it's safe to assume we'll be there at some point. Witness the latest news about the Mayan civilization extending much farther than previously thought. (although we all know this was not a big leap, given that humans are much smarter even a thousand years ago than we give them credit for).

A longer trailer is out now

Looks like a grimmer game than Rise was. I'm also skeptical of triple-A games trying to comment on the violence their lead characters perform when those are the only actions available to the player. Still, looking forward to mercilessly slaughtering anonymous soldiers in the jungle.

I liked the first two games in this series well enough that I should probably just get this at launch. I hope they continue to lean into the Batman stalking thing from Rise.

* Best part - there are sections of puzzles, it isn't just killing people - which is all the trailer really shows.

Dig the trailer. Going on what media blackout I can, aside from whatever gets shown at E3. I don't expect much from game narratives as a default these days so if it manages a C grade quality I'll be fine.

yup. MORE PLEASE!

I'm replaying them both at the moment (about 2/3 of the way through the first right now) and it's still as good as I remember it. Better actually, since I'm not failing the quicktime events about eighty times in a row.

Meh, I feel like this series ran out of steam on the second game, more of the same just isn't gonna catch my interest.

I rarely complete AAA games, maybe 2-3 a year. I finished the 2013 game, just the right length, thought it was great. Just started Rise, if I enjoy that as much I expect I'll pick up Shadow next year.

Just finished my replay of 2013, too. So installing 'Rise' now

Shadow Of The Tomb Raider - 10 Minutes NEW Gameplay Demo Walktrough

I'm excited about the granular difficulty. I can see myself turning puzzles and exploration up to hard, while leaving combat at default.

Thinking about the combat, I remember really digging Rise's updates to make combat arenas feel closer to sandboxes, so I'm hoping they've refined that further.

I do want to play this game once i FINISH uncharted 4

I'm pretty psyched about this and it's a day one purchase. Pretty happy to hear about "voice over immersion" toggle. It's a little thing but it always grates me when everyone just speaks English with an accent.

Quite looking forward to this, though I think it's gonna tax my aging pc!

Yeah, I'm concerned about my CPU being able to handle the game. They also put out a new trailer showing off their support for the new GeForce cards just announced.

Financial considerations mean I'm probably not going to be able to pick this up on day one, which I'm disappointed about. But I'm looking forward to reading everyone's impressions once it's out.

I just finished Rise last night. It was a tad longer than I expected, but that didn't stop me from playing DLC. The Babba Yaga stuff was pretty decent. I always like when DLC integrates into the main game. I really can't wait for Shadow. The first two were really fantastic. As a fan of Uncharted, by the end of 4 I got really tired of Nathan frog-hopping all over the place. Lara does it too, but at least there is some wait behind her motions and movement. So ....yes excited!

I loved the last two Tomb Raiders. looking forward to this one. I hope my NVidia 970 GTX can do it justice.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider - 10 Things You NEED To Know
*I don't feel like I needed to know these things but I was interested. I was rather disappointed in #4. I don't need a more violent/dark game. I want better puzzles and interesting locations.
