Hey, I've been bugging you about it, only seems fair.
Never turn Dynasty off again!
Has anyone played any Best Ball leagues? The tldr on them is it's all about Drafting. No trades, no waiver wire. Instead, the best player at a position in a given week is what scores.
It gets rid of the crap where you start a player, but they get injured in the 1st quarter and score a 0 for the week. Instead the other guys on your roster at that spot (who in old school fantasy would be on your bench and worthless to you) would count/score for you.
Basically it gets rid of the downside of weekly roster management and in-season FA waiver wires. I'm all for that. Why do we have to set a weekly lineup? Why not instead score based on your best QB, RB, 2WR, TE, D, K and Flex spots? It removes a layer of strategy, but also removes a lot of the luck in fantasy football. I like that.

I've always wanted us to do a best ball league as an early draft, kick-off-the-fantasy-season kind of thing, but FleaFlicker has never supported it. I wouldn't mind doing just that league on another site, but I'm going to keep that one in my back pocket until overall interest in FF picks up here again. Last year was rough.

I think it's partially a FF on mild decline thing and GWJ being on the decline. Don't have the engaged population to support FF here like we once did.
I blame Rat Boy for leaving. When he disappeared everything changed for the worse. 
I enjoyed the last season, and I would like back in to whatever is available.
I also think the Best Ball stuff sounds interesting.
Any thoughts on dropping kickers in redraft?

What was decided on the trading of draft picks in dynasty last year? I forget. Don't want to have another trade rejected...

That was a real surprise last season, the first I heard about it was when my trade got rejected. Ended up just pushing the trade through minus the pick to get it over with.
The next year in which we don't have to scramble to find replacement owners for Dynasty, we can talk about future-year pick trades.
As it is, the idea of an owner trading off future picks and then not showing up the next year makes future year picks a non starter.
But yes, this needs to be spelled out in writing so that it does not come as a surprise. I am remedying that.

It's hard recruiting for dynasty. I still feel like I'm just going through the motions for one more year before I have a chance of dragging a discarded team into something competitive. Maybe it was because I was the last owner to replace a team last year, but perhaps they could be rewarded with a higher draft order?
