NFL 2017 Week 14 Thread

Right, as others have pointed out, the Browns wanted to beat the Giants to the table.

Edit:

Hang tight, brother, your time will come.

I didn't even really think about that.

I don't think the Giants are sweating Dorsey getting taken off the market though. They're going to do a proper search.

Browns cut Kenny Britt. Shocking.

Is John Dorsey even in the building yet? Or is this like when your family is coming over and you spend the whole day before cleaning up, so they don't realize what a filth pit it was before they arrived?

I believe they did a press conference so dumping him was clearly priority number one.

Edit: Of course Josh Gordon showing he's still legit is a huge reason to let him go now.

I'm torn. I want to start Josh Gordon in fantasy, but my trust in DeShone Kizer is zero.

I started him. I trusted him more than I distrusted Kizer.

This Buffalo game is like Army vs Navy.

Niners knock Tom Savage out of the game, and TJ Yates comes in and makes everyone wonder WTF Savage is starting for. Yates looks better than him in every way.

Shane Lechler can still punt. He's booting the sh*t out of the ball against the Niners. Had to look up where he ranks in average. He's 4th in the league.

Not bad for 41. Doesn't seem like a guy that will stop anytime soon.

Yes, this is the week I lost faith and dropped the Chiefs defense from my team.

I’ll take it though.

That Vinatieri XP was the most exciting XP kick in a long time.

Browns close to pulling a Browns and losing. Well done, boys!

PANTHERS!

A good all-around effort today. Too bad Carolina can't play all its games at home (or beat the effin' Saints).

Lots of purple in the stands, though. Panther Fan must have been too scared to leave the house because of the snow we got this weekend.

DAVANTE ADAMS, FRESNO STATE

And now victory formation for SF.

334 passing yards for Garoppolo. Dude looks legit. Very effortless thrower, generates power even when he can't get his feet into it. Belichick did a good job on him, he looks way more impressive than his college draft tape.

Worth the gamble, at least. Now the franchise needs to get him some receivers. Though it looks like Marquise Goodwin may have his first 1000 yard season. Way better than I ever expected from him.

Still, get a good rising young FA. Someone like DAVANTE ADAMS, FRESNO STATE

This franchise... Omg. They'll find a way every time.

Chiefs!

Michael PIttman is probably free. Bernard Berrian can come catch a few balls. They can bring back Trent Dilfer to stand behind Jimmy and just scream "LAUNCH POINT" every time he throws the ball.

Bobby Wagner: "I've never seen a team stay as committed to the run as Jacksonville."

That's fear, Bobby. That's being afraid of your own quarterback.

I want them to throw short passes to a 56-year-old Henry Ellard until he gets enough career yardage to get Art Monk'd into the Hall, because he should already have Monk's spot.

Remember in the early 90s playing Madden where you'd always set the weather to snow regardless of where the game was being played?

Yes I remember when EA made fun sports games.

Pro tip. They still do if you aren’t focused on simulation.

Fun > Realism

Madden is great, but NBA Live 18 is the freaking bomb.

That's the problem, I can't treat a flawed sim as just a fun game. It's an uncanny valley situation.

I'm playing Mutant Football League instead.

Also since they don't make the games for PC anymore, I completely don't give a sh*t about them. I would probably play NHL at least if they came back to PC.

Because I don't trust the Panthers as far as I can throw 'em ... and because the Seahawks are in contention for a wild card spot ...

... I'm now rooting for Jacksonville.

Ewww, god, I feel dirty. HOW DO YOU DO IT LEGION.

About as dirty as I feel cheering for Arizona against Tennessee.

Cheering for Blaine Gabbert again. UGH.
