Due to widespread disappointment that the D&D picture thread doesn't contain enough Dungeons and Dragons content, this is the unofficial Official GWJ D&D picture thread.
For artwork, include artist attribution! It's polite and helps both the artists and fans looking for more art.
Feel free to also post art from other, non-Dungeons & Dragons roleplaying things.
Great Scott, they do exist.
What is the dragon doing to that tower?
Everything in D&D is just a few short connections from a gazebo joke...

There is a reason the dragon is smiling ...
Erol Otus did so much to spark my imagination when it came to D&D. I love his fantasy artwork.
Dyson has been drawing dungeon maps for nearly a decade now, inspiring a few others.
I initially thought the staircase was Pac-Man waiting to spring an ambush.

Contrary to popular belief, not all dragons are in to cars.
Don't worry, they say the tower is impregnable!

"Give me ten good men and I'll impregnate the Female Doggo."

I'll be taking that...
Love the Adventure Zone pic.
Anyone ever commissioned character art?

I only know him from the Deities & Demigods. What else has he done?
My first crush
No boobplate. Legs are covered. Can not see character's ass from the front. Armor artwork invalid.

Just google him, you're in for a treat, my friend. Erol Otus decorated many AD&D modules, he's the main reason my brother and I bought many of them back in the day.
He also did the artwork for a little game called Star Control II...
Love the Adventure Zone pic.

I have never done it, but people in my game group have. Usually when we're at Gencon they'll find an artist they like and commission a piece. Are you thinking of getting one done?
My first crush
Loved Elmore's old work. He was my favorite.

At some point... I love my halfling monk that never sees any gametime... but as he never sees any gametime I doubt I will drop much cash on him anytime soon.

Wait, that was him?!
It was!
Woah, nice to know.
I first saw Larry Elmore's stuff in Dragon Magazine with his Snarfquest series. Doing a little digging, it looks like the entire series is available as a hardcover book. Very tempting!
