So many interesting titles, but my pick this week is a game that I already own on a different platform. I bought Lego Worlds when it was in Early Access and was barely a game at all. Now it’s still barely a game, but it’s much more polished. This week it comes to the Nintendo Switch, and it seems like a perfect fit for the platform. Frankly, I’ve spent the last few months on the verge of triple-dipping on Minecraft, but Lego Worlds looks like it will scratch that exploratory-builder itch and it will offer me an experience that I haven’t already spent a full Sands playing.

Strap on those protective slippers, Lego Worlds gets my nod for Game of the Week.

I've never really griped about Destiny. Not like others have. My biggest issue is the complete lack of activities for just four or five people. I seem to constantly be in a situation where I have too many for regular co-op activities but not enough for a raid. But I do look forward to Destiny 2.

I don't look forward to Destiny 2 because of fixes to the grinding system or improved patrols. Sure, that stuff will be nice to have, but it's all secondary to me. It's all about those shooting mechanics. A game like DOOM may come around and provide a nice distraction, and a game like Titanfall 2 may sneak me a campaign that's like a more violent Nintendo developed shooter, but nothing gives me combat mechanics like Bungie. So Destiny 2 gets my pick of the week because it's a Bungie game that involves shooting things.

Battlefield 1: In the Name of the Tsar opens up the Eastern front of the Great War. There’s no extra story, but you get Russian maps, weapons and vehicles. Some maps recreate parts of famous campaigns like the Brusilov Offensive and the Russian Civil War between the Red and White armies. The new game mode is a very PUBG-like race for a central supply drop. Also you get 2 new classes: the female scout and the nearly-obsolete Hussar, who charges with a lance on horseback.

Songbringer is an indie game inspired by Zelda, but not nearly as inspired as Breath of the Wild. I have no idea what Spectrum is about, because it shares a name with a classic computer from the '80s with vastly more Google hits. Smart move, devs. Touhou Kobuto V: Burst Battle is a 1v1 bullet-hell shmup between Japanese girls with “Patchouli powers” and whatnot.

When the dust settles, Battlefield 1: In the Name of the Tsar is my pick of the bunch this week. Grab a Mosin-Nagant and camp in the snow to repel the Austro-Hungarian menace!

Added. That name's so long it seems like a joke.

It IS a joke, just not one the publisher seems aware of.

All the good names are already taken. Combat, nope. Gun, nope. Repeat until you get far enough down the list that Author: Series: Instance seems like a no-brainer.

From this point on, all titles should be structured as DOM references.
