Nintendo Switch - Games You Can Play Right Now

Zelda Oracle of Seasons / Ages on Switch online!

Disney Island of Illusion is a fun ride so far. Nothing earth-scattering, but an ok platformer based on those excellent new Disney cartoons.

Very positive review of Red Dead Redemption on the Switch

All of the video reviews I saw yesterday were very positive. It looks like they did a good job with this port.

I picked it up. I paid $30 for Metroid Prime and now $50 for this, Nintendo must love me. Still they are releasing good versions of great games even if they do gouge on the price.

Yeah I never did beat this on PS3. Maybe I would have better luck on Switch. But I won't try it for $50.

Can you see your purchase history? My purchase history is gone and can't redownload anything.

At the eShop screen click your profile picture at the top right. The menu that brings you to will have the redownload button, second option.

Gunbrella demo! Go play it. It’s so long and haven’t finished it yet. It’s a gun and an umbrella.

Switch said I played for 11 hours? Wow!

F Zero 99 available today for Switch Online members!

The demo was the first few areas and were pretty meaty.

Got the full game. I’m enjoying it a lot.

The situation corrected itself after a few days. Still not sure what was going on. And talk about auto help circle of hell, oh boy.

Mario Wonder 93 on Metacritic.

25 hours...

Oh nice, I wasn't expecting that. I wasn't a huge fan of Super Mario U but I think I might pick up this one.

Buzz has been that this is kind of a return to form for 2D Mario after things got a bit formulaic with the “New” series.

I’m pretty excited. My copy is supposed to arrive tomorrow.

My wife is getting Wonder for our Anniversary. So no one tell her that this exists.

Wonder over to the new thread.

Surprised this thread hasn't seen more action.

I've been playing the remake of Super Mario RPG. I'm still early, just got to Tadpole Pond and am now heading onto Geno and the second star. The original SMRPG was the first game I ever played in any capacity, so it's absolutely a nostalgia bomb. They did a good job faithfully recreating all the zones and even the dialogue - it's almost all the same as I remember it, with a few exceptions (like Frogfucius becoming Frog Sage and Mack becoming Claymorton). The music is also good - I think they got the same composer for it, like 30 years later. It of course sounds different since the music tracks can have so much more complexity now. But it just feels so darn familiar, I love it.

One thing I'm noticing is it does feel a lot easier. I think the main driver is that there are built in weaknesses to enemies (there may have been in the first game as well), but the hammer bros went down in just a couple of turns, and so did Croco, which definitely wasn't true back then. Maybe something changed. Hopefully the Yardovich fight is easier, at least.
