Wait, Dyni hasn't played Dragon's Dogma? Dude you will love it! It's totally up your alley. Def go for DD.

I played a few hours of it a couple years ago, but then that PC died and I lost my save. I never went back. This is just the excuse I need to try again!

I really enjoyed FF XII when it came out on the PS4 in 2017. I also heartily endorse Dragon's Dogma.

Thirded. I finished it on Vita, but would happily buy it again on Switch.

I have it on PC as well but got distracted early on in the game. Apparently the Switch-version is going to be €30. With that kind of price I'm sure to double dip as it's much more likely to get me back into it when it's on the Switch.

I loved FFXII when it was released, it's the one of the two that I've actually finished. Another is X. The Gambit system is the best. I'd like to give it another go, not to finish, but to see how it is some many years on.

It’s just a rumor based on a datamine. Until Nintendo confirms it, it’s vapor.

I really wish Gizmodo and other outlets would put that in the Headlines, considering it’s been on Reddit for at least 3 days and Twitter for longer.

Cattle Call (Alliance Alive, Legend of Legacy, Opoona) are working on a Switch game. After the Alliance Alive I'm *super* interested in what they're doing for Switch.

Oh! Sign me up!

For anyone struggling with joy-con analog stick drift: Applying a brief spray of "plastic-safe electrical contact cleaner" to the base of each analog stick under the thin plastic dust cover appears to have 100% cleared up the pretty severe drift problems I was having with both of my pairs of joy-cons.

The spray can of cleaner was US $8 at my local hardware store. It's available on Amazon as well. (And some of the Amazon reviews mention success at using it to fix joy-con drift issues.)

This worked whereas spraying compressed air hadn't worked very well for me. It's only been a couple of days, but the electrical contact cleaner has 100% fixed my joy-con drift issues so far.

I'm really happy about this, since I had pretty much resigned myself to avoiding playing with the joy-cons whenever possible in favor of using the pro controller (with which I've had no problems) instead.

I picked up that tip from this comment: https://www.reddit.com/r/NintendoSwi...

Amazon link for the aforementioned spray: https://www.amazon.com/WD-40-Special...

Thanks for the info you two, I haven't experienced drift since I used compressed air, but I have saved the link just in case.

So I got to play a game called One Step From Eden at MAGFest two weeks ago. If you take Mega Man Battle Network, speed it up, and make it more arcade instead of a role-playing game, you effectively have One Step From Eden. They just added a Switch stretch goal for 2020.

I know it says "rogue-like", but when I played it "rogue-like" wasn't on my mind. As I said, I felt like it was more arcade. If you've been wanting more games like Battle Network but improving on its flaws, this is one of two games I played at MAGFest doing so.

And speaking of unofficial announcements, a twitter thread.

Has anyone been playing Dark Souls Remastered? I'm curious how the multiplayer is. I'm still not very far, but I'm getting anxious. Is it going to be terrible like I remember, or will it be fun? Or an appropriate balance? And did they fix the things that were broken in the original release (some of the covenants didn't work right)?

Woot! Tangledeep drops on Switch Jan 31st!

Roguelike with a 16 bit look and sound.

Oh hell yes. I’ve been looking forward to it for a long while now!

Apparently it is a Genesis Rom that you can play on actual hardware if you so cared.

Are you thinking of Tanglewood rather than Tangledeep?

Maybe?

Cross-posting from the Trading thread in case any of the Switch regulars are interested.

Selling Diablo 3 for the Switch - $40 shipped

Also selling my great Waterfield CitySlicker case for the Switch. It is the blue one, great condition and an excellent case. Only selling because I need to use a grip with the Switch from some wrist problems and my grip doesn't fit in the case. $40 shipped

Buy both for $70 which is less than the case itself normal price.

Nintendo's got a new Indie Highlights video presentation tomorrow, 9am ET/6am PT/2pm GMT.

It's not a full-on Nintendo Direct, but typically when they have a video like this it's to make way or in the wake of a big-budget focused Direct, so we should be getting news on big games soon.

Of course, that's not the only reason to be psyched, as this is probably going to have information on that Slay the Spire port many of you seem to be waiting on, and will no doubt have plenty of other goodness. So tomorrow morning should be a good one.

Rumor says Wargroove being released with it.

And, yeah, glad it's coming as big Direct should be coming within a week (I think).

Hey all,
For some reason, I'm getting nervous about my switch case. It's a soft sided case with a separate holder for the games. It's been fine, including for travel, for some time, so I don't know why I'm suddenly getting worried about my Switch getting smashed next time I travel.
Anyway, I was looking for some recommendations. It doesn't need to carry much, just the Switch with attached joycon and games. Charger will be with the rest of my electronic cords, and I don't worry about docking on the road, nor do I have a pro controller.
Bonus points if it's not mario or zelda branded.
This seems good, but I'm also curious what others have.

I only travel with it in my car, so I just use a soft sided case as well. When it's inside the case, I keep it in the foam sleeve that it came in so that nothing scratches it. It also has a pocket inside for the power cube and for an extra long USB cable, and everything zips up on top.

(Actually one of these make-up bags, but mine has a giraffe print on it: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...)

However, if I was traveling where I thought it might get tossed around, I'd probably get a hard case for it, but right now I can't think of why I'd need it.

Huh

I had this case from Amazon but it looks like it's not sold anymore, and the one you linked is a few points higher on reviews. I'd say go for it if you want it.

I was coming to post SteamWorld Quest and a couple other things. Wherever this Indies Highlight streamed, I couldn't find it.

WarGroove has a release date of February 1st and a fancy animated trailer.

I feel like CrossCode already exists somewhere? Or maybe this is a reveal? I dunno, but looks neat.

SteamWorld Quest doesn't entirely surprise me since Image & Form likes to dabble in genres. I'm more interested in where it sits in their continuity, oddly enough. I always get nervous when I see cards as a mechanic in games but I was also a little nervous I wouldn't like SteamWorld Heist, and I loved that one. So I'll be there day one for Quest, no doubt.

Not seeing any other uploads, so either those three were the highlights or they haven't released any other trailers from the stream.

I have no idea what sort of game Inmost is supposed to be other than dreary and difficult, but I like the look of it.
