New TV Season 2017-18

My wife watches more than half those.

Then just imagine how much more quality time you would get with her!

When I cancel the 5 shows, do I get to run over a personification of them with a trolley? I'm, uh, just asking for clarification, it's not like I would find doing so gratifying in an unseemly way, no, not at all.

We finally got around to watching the Inhumans pilot. The dialog was terrible, we could only get through half of it. What turned me off even more was the echoes of 1930s Germany that I got, between the Inhumans caste system and desire to unite all Inhumans (a la uniting all German-speaking peoples). I may be off base, but that was the feeling I got from the show.

Watched Superstition and thought it was pretty good. They have a big team going after the supernatural rather than just two brothers. I hadn't seen any ads for it. Someone on my twitter was talking about it so I gave it a watch.

Yes, yes, yes! The Good Place , such a good show!

If given the choice, would you choose to let 5 network TV shows get cancelled or let the Good Place get another season? ;)

If they're all reality shows, no question.

If they're all cartoons, no question.

FTFY

Supergirl:

There's that one scene on Mars from tonight's episode I dare people not to get teary eyed over.

Travelers is back and the first episode of the second season was pretty good. The show raises a bunch of moral questions. One of the best time travel shows to date.

I'm looking forward to that. Over here it's on Netflix and it seems like they will put out the second season after it has aired completely, which is totally fine with me. It's one of those shows that is best watched in one or two sittings.

I liked Continuum a lot, although it sometimes just felt like a modern take on Time Trax, but Travelers is much more complex than that.

Season 2 of Travelers still not available on Netflix Mexico...

The Good Place: YEEEEEEEEEEEES!

I think Better Things has to be th best show on TV I never hear anyone talk about. It has this ability to be hilarious, sad, and beautiful all within its 30 minute running time. I also wish I had watched this when my daughter was much younger, as it revels in challenge of raising young girls into independent, strong women.

I don’t even recommend binging it. So many of the episodes feel more like a meditation than an actual story, and the themes just hang with me for awhile.

Oh, and there are dick jokes.

The Orville went Black Mirror.

Don't try the mystery sauce!

It's just white chocolate

Also it should be noted that The Good Place's Thursday night slot mate Superstore is quite good as well. Mark McKinney has always been a fav and he's just hilarious as the good hearted but naive boss. Also Sandra is the low key best character on that show.

The wife and I love Superstore.

Lucifer is still fun.

Kevin (Probably) Saves the World is reminding me a lot of Wonderfalls. Hopefully the slower pace isn’t turning a lot of people off.

Huh?

More love for The Good Place:

Nothing on TV is doing visual humor like The Good Place is doing visual humor

Spoilers for episode 6 are in the article.

First, I thought you meant Kevin Can Wait and couldn't imagine anyone here recommending a Kevin James show... ^^* Too many Kevins.

It really is.

Huh?

Only 3 episodes in a season?

It was scary science-fiction, but now it's becoming all too real?

Naw, latest episode copied the plot from Cory Doctorow’s book Down and Out in the Magic Kingdom, just like Black Mirror did for their season 3 opener (and Community did for their Meow Meow Beanz episode).

The way he emphasizes "detective" is very Ra's al Ghul.

Yeah I got that within 30 seconds of actually starting the episode. Good stuff.

Stranger Things 2

Hot take after just finishing the new season. Not as good as the 1st season, but I still really enjoyed it. Lots of great moments, and the 80's feel of the series was still spot on!

Kevin Probably Saves the World is surprisingly decent. Definitely worth a few chuckles each episode. Very family friendly.

Season 2 of Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency has pushed all the right buttons for us. After every episode, we wish even more that it was a Netflix show that we could binge watch in one evening. I'm glad it makes us wait -- I don't want it to be over too soon.
