Well we'll be playing Word Slam and Kingdomino at our weekly Game Night tomorrow, courtesy of GWJ and Amazon next-day delivery.

Which game is that top graphic from?

Antihero!

I love the Rabbitcon eps. More and more, boardgames are my main jam with videogames being a distant second.

Deep Sea Adventures (or "Death in the Water") is a great little game. However, the pedant in me must correct the rules error: everyone has to return to the sub at the end of each dive. [BGG cite] I double-checked after I listened to the podcast, because I was hoping you guys were right – it would make it so much easier to get down to the bottom. Alas.

I was following the Spiel des Jahres ceremoy and when the price went to Kingdomino I was thinking, where do I heard this game before?

Curious: is this true of this-week's and last-week's? I know, I know: listen and find out!

This week Shawn, Julian, Allen and Cory talk achievements, backward compatibility and more!

I bought both of these as well, based on the Rabitcon endorsements. I've been playing Kingdomino with my kids, (13 and 10 years old). They have caught on to the screw your neighbor strategy, and the win/loss record is pretty even amungst us.

Word slam will be played at my birthday party, if not sooner. The theme of my party is Word Nerd Game Night. I hope to play Monikers and some Jackbox stuff too.

I can confirm that Suspicion is fun with two players, but unless you do some house-rules it's a bit too easy to guess who the other player is. My wife and I recommend disallowing the "can this person see your character" action for the duration of the game.
