Photobucket.

Or how to kill off your users and your business in one crazy move.

Now charging US$399 p.a. to allow 3rd party hosted images.
I predict a very small percentage of users will pay that price. It is far too high for being able to share pics.

They will drive users to imgur and other options and while they will make a small revenue bump, if they persist they have likely killed their business.

Just pity the poor users that need to migrate.

Not sure if they backtracked but my (very old) stuff seems unaffected.

What does pa stand for?

Per annum.

What a dumb move. Make people pay? Sure. Give people no notice? Umm. And make it $400/yr. Uh.

For a mobile site that barely works and is riddled with ads no less. Screw that.

Well, guess I need to get off my butt and set up self hosting.
