Drat.

I will admit, I laughed WAY too much at this.

Turned out that I was able to take them, but I didn't forget about them.

One question..

What is the difference between this game and Xenoblade Chronicles X? I am confused
I currently own Xenoblade Chronicles (finished it btw) and have YET to pen Xenoblade Chronicles X and get to BUY Xenoblade Chronicles 2

Xenoblade Chronicles X is a completely separate entry that's minimal story with a lot of open world gameplay and mechs. That's my understanding, at least. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 carries its anime narrative influence from the first one.

Yeah, what he said basically. XC2 is also a vastly improved game over XC1 in my opinion. If you liked XC1, you'll adore XC2.

XCX is pretty darn different and not a slam dunk for XC1 fans.

XCX is very anime too, just scifi anime and less more traditional fantasy.

Thanks for the comments and clarification. and yes I DID ENJOY VERY MUCH XC1.... so ill get XC2.

Seems like they will be lke the Tales of Series of FF series..

XC1 and XC2 share some common elements.

Xemoblade Drop Rates Datamined

The interesting part to me was there are 5 different sets of probabilities for blades. When you start your game you get one of the 5. Then there's a pity system where after so many pills you get one of 3 rare blades. That's how you can tell which column you are in.

Column 1 - Godfrey, Agate, Boreas
Column 2 - Perceval, Azami, Adenine
Column 3 - Gorg, Perun, Electra
Column 4 - Kora, Nim, Finch
Column 5 - Vale, Ursula, Floren

This pity system is what allows us to easily see which column our save file uses. The first step is to put your blades in chronological order and see which 5-10 blades you got first. Your 3 pity blades should be there, as well as other blades with high base probabilities (on average). This should give you an indication of which column your save file might use.

And the confusing part is the idea system. It only applies to one category but you get 0 for the others but if you use a booster then you get that one applied, even if it's not the highest. Something like that.

EDIT: Changed link to article that summarizes a bit better than GameFaqs, and actually shows the chart.

Hmm... interesting. I got KOS-MOS toward the end of my playthrough.

Pretty sure I'm in column 2. One of my earliest blades was Perceval, and I have Azami too. Although, I have all 3 of the col 1 pity blades, but they came in later and their probabilities are a bit higher in col 2, like Boreas is over 2. I also have Electra, Kora, and Zenobia, and their rates are higher in col 2 than col 1.

If I am in col 1 instead of 2 then I've gotten really lucky with some of the non-pity drops.

So that means Agate is the rarest non-pity drop I've had. And Floren should be my next highest probabilty to drop right now, although RNG is always RNG.

Column 2 also... I think. I know I released a few rates, but that was AFTER I got Morag. I got all of column 2 before. However, Finch was my very first rare.

Soundtrack to be (finally) released in Japan on May 23rd. Gonna point to this Era thread since there's actually three different versions.

Yes!

I think i commited a SIN.... I decided to play this game BEFORE Breath of the Wild.
Started it yesterday

You chose wisely.

I finally unboxed my switch... and had those 2 games.... chose XC2... liking is SO FAR

They're both so different that it's a good idea to play them side-by-side. I can get a bit "systems fatigued" by XC2, so it's nice to have a simple palette cleanser like BotW around.

Wont it take twice along to finish if i play both games? I have a decent backlong.. and I would think IT WOULD BE difficult to split time between both games

Yeah I spent all last week in Fire Emblem Warriors and then went back to XC2 this weekend.

The time off was good but not too long that I remembered combat well

I will give that strategy a try... play a few days XC2 then some other days zelda.... see how it works

Play something on a different platform while waiting for the merc missions...

Excuse my ignorance.. what are MERC MISSIONS?

Keep playing. You'll find out.

Ok heeheheh i am just 3 hours into XC2 and the game seems to be good so far. I will also try to play it along BotW during the weeks and see how it goes.

Just go with the flow. If you feel that you're stuck, start pushing the story missions forward to unlock new characters, abilities, and places. Plan on having new systems consistently unlock through your first 20 hours of play (with more systems unlocking later). XC2 also likes to tease systems without letting you know that you can't do it yet, so if you can't figure something out (like canceling attacks or wondering why same-level monsters are destroying you one-on-one), just keep pushing the story and all shall become clear.

No, please play XC2 first. Any game I play that's 3D exploration is annoying at first when I start it due to the awesomeness of the traversal options in BotW.

XC2 is looking veeery goood
