Revolution of Callisto

I figured that since it has it's own website now, I should probably make a thread for the new Callisto game I'm running.

The last game went pretty well, and I'm trying some new things that promise to make this one even better.

The setting this time: In the aftermath of an 18th-century revolution, the king has been overthrown and the players get to decide the fate of a nation. The king has been imprisoned after attempting to invade his own country with a foreign army, and the newly-convened National Assembly debates what to do with him.

Callisto is a play-by-email game that's a bit different than other roleplaying or strategy play-by-mail games. You write several letters a week to other players. The moderator reads your messages, takes the bits that have your narrative authority, and turns them into news posts for everyone to read.

Time for a friendly neighborhood forum bump

I'm very much looking forward to how this progresses! The previous games have been a delightful read!

The sheer amount of reading moderating this game must require is incredibly daunting. Good luck with it!

The game's going really well so far, with lots of letters going all over the place. All the news reported on the website is entirely player-generated.

If you're interested in joining, there's always room for more players.

I have a system that works pretty well, after running three games, so it's not too onerous.

This game is ridiculously fun! What an ingenious blend to make all the characters mini-DMs. I've never waited with such anticipation for emails to arrive!

Grem, I wanted to check that the new scientist/school founder in Amalric isn't a PC. I'm assuming that this is the case by the subtlety of your answer to my harbor question in the daily update.

Not a PC. Make up what you like.
