Name that GAME Thread

It was a Dreamcast game. That only my roommate and I played, I think.

Hydro thunder?

Negative. Robot animal chariot racing.

Bummer. Ok, ok. It was Zusar Vasar and I'm now totally convinced that only my roommate and I played this game, ever.

FREE PLAY!

"released only in Japan on July 27, 2000"

Well, that certainly hurts things!

I have a few Japan-only releases, but never heard of that one.

You're not missing much unless you're really into weird novelty. It's like podracer but less fun and with dolphins and birds.

Dragon Age Dlc?

Yep, but which one?

Edit: I'll give it to you b/c I have a meeting in a few minutes. It was Dragon Age Origins: Awakening.

Your up ALG!

I just watched Classic Game Room's overview of this game and I NEED TO PLAY THIS. How have I never heard of it before?!

I have no idea what I'm looking at.

Small and dark...

Uh, is it Blood 2?

Almost said Shogo M.A.D., but the voodoo doll isn't cute enough.

That's too bad, but I'm going to give it to you anyway. It's SHOGO.

Ah...I didn't recognize Captain Claw because of how dark the screenshot was.

Fun fact: I just realized that Claw was made by Monolith just a year before Shogo. Explains the captain's presence.
I thought he was just an amusing distraction in the game; I never found any use for him besides squeaking.

Still disappointed there is no Shogo 2.

Here's one I began playing for the first time a little while ago. Too bad it's a bit buggy on modern computers, even with the gog.com version.

Is that Outlaws?

Ball's in your court again.

Two of my last three have apparently been far too easy...

Not many western games to choose from. (Also, most PC games from the era I was religiously poring over screenshots in games magazines is going to be a softball for me.)

Betrayal at Krondor? Could be totally wrong...

I *think* that's Darklands?

It is Darklands!

Loved that game.

Shogo also, but I mostly enjoyed killing the little humans when I was in the mech.

Shogo and Outlaws both amazing games for their time. Outlaws was the reason I made my Gunslinger mod for Quake 2.

Ooooh, one of my all-time favorites, despite all the various bugs that came with the game.

I bought this when I was in college, and I remember taking the manual with me to read when I was visiting my dad for the weekend. He was driving us down the shore for the day, and I was sitting in the back of his van reading.

I also kept the Darklands map, which came in handy when I was playing as a German team (SV Darmstadt 98) in Football Manager.

This one shouldn't be too hard for the classic DOS gaming crowd:

Oh wow, that's a huge nostalgia hit. Couldn't possible tell you the name, but thanks for the memories!

It reminds me of Montezuma's Revenge, but way better looking.

Reminds me of Boulderdash, but uglier.
