This one borders on software I guess but it's forever cemented in my brain from computer class.

Since I'm fluent in Tops Of Letters Reading, I'll go with The Typing of the Dead: OVERKILL, and offer my presumed victory up as free play for anyone else to take it.

Loom?

Nope. This one is not a Lucas Arts game.

Is it the Colour of Magic?

No, but I'd say that's closer. This is also not a Discworld game, though. And it is just a bit more recent than the prior two guesses.

Is that deadly premonition? Never played it but I remember the reviews talking about that sort of vibe.

It's indeed Deadly Premonition. I started playing years back, but got distracted. I should give it a real go during Halloween.

I was thinking about this game last night, mostly because it was the first time I was disappointed in a game because I finished it very quickly and I had spent a lot of money for young BBK

Is that Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers? Looks like for the NES?

Spot on! Finished it in one sitting and I think it was about £40. Over to you TheMostRad.
