NFL 2017: Offseason / Pre-Draft

Aguayo was indeed the most accurate kicker in college, but that accuracy went and died his senior year. Doesn't seem like he's been able to fix that.

Junior year, technically. Aguayo came out early before he could put a second bad year on tape.

Looking at Aguayo's rookie year stats, what's striking is just how favorable his kick attempt distances were.

He was 2nd in attempts from 30-39 yards, and tied for last in attempts from 50+ (only one attempt. It was missed).

He had 2 misses from 30-39, 6 from 40-49, and the 1 from 50+.

Nobody else down in the 70-80% FG percentage range had 8 misses inside of 50. Jacksonville's Jason Myers, for example, had only 2 misses inside of 50, and 5 misses outside of 50 (on 12 attempts, the most in the league).

Meanwhile, while Nick Folk feasted on short field goals, he managed to hit 5-of-7 from 40+, while Aguayo went 4-of-11.

I don't understand what the Tomsula picture is supposed to mean.

I thought it was a picture of Blake Bortles.

Wait, the dumpster isn't throwing a pick-six. It can't be Blake Bortles.

You sure it's not the Bears front office?

At least someone scores when Bortles is on the field, unlike Aguayo.

Look at Legion trying to deflect all the Bortles pressure.

Look I cannot wait for this season of watching back to back games of Blake Bortles and Brian Hoyer every Sunday.

It'll be an improvement over last year, at least.

Shut up, wide right.

Brock Osweiler asked why he thinks he's good enough to start: "I think the proof is in the film for the past two years."

Says the guy who's fighting for a starting position for Cleveland.

Let's go to that film...

My god, he's right. I don't think I've seen anyone else more qualified to be the next Cleveland Browns quarterback.

Blake Bortles is definitely more than qualified.

We call these the NFL threads but really we just talk about the same 5 players for a year.

We could probably fit all their names into a thread title.

Yep, because here he's throwing the ball to actual Browns players (never mind that he's not supposed to).

Parity has made things kinda boring.

Admittedly, today is an important day in my life as I learned that Bortleskombat is an actual thing:

Well, you know, we are still in there "pre-draft" thread. Are we supposed to harass MilkmanDanimal now?

I figured I'd wait until about 3:00 on the opening Thursday of the season for the post-season offseason thread.

Either that or new Post-Draft Offseason thread.
