Does anyone have Churchhill, the board game? That's a game that I've been wanting to play for a long time, so if you have a copy and could bring it that would be super cool.

I don't have it, but it sounds fascinating.

Just an update for those that are bringing kids, the backyard is still soggy from the rain this week so chances of badminton or slip n slide are unlikely.

I'll be bring some chocolate and peanut butter brownies and a few boardgames I have.

Yellek, is there something specific you would like someone to bring?

Brownies, yum! Nope, nothing specific that I can think of right now. Thx!

To follow up on this, please do share here if you are planning to bring food stuffs so that others have an idea of what's already covered.

I'm picking up ribs and burgers, buns, condiments today.

** Edit: veggies/dip, and berries that may or may not go in a punch of some kind.
** Edit 2: corn on the cob

I'll be bringing guacamole and pita chips.

I've got a bunch of hardboiled eggs prepped to make deviled eggs.

I shouldn't be allowed in Costco. I also got some kind of water guns that claim to shoot 70 feet.

That sounds like a challenge.

Going to need a big tape measure to prove it. I bet those are at Costco too.

Nope, done shopping!

Thanks everyone for joining us to make today so much fun!

Thanks for having us! I had fun!

That was a lot of fun. Great to see and meet everyone.

Good times and good to see everyone!

Thanks again to Yellek and Q Stone for hosting!

Announcement: Sixteenblue has moved to the area!

Welcome!

Well that sounds like a need for another S&T this spring.

Definitely, I want to drive over this time.

I'll check the calender but I think the only weekends that don't work are Easter/april fools weekend. Open to suggestions!

* Edit: any Saturday 4/21- 5/26 works.

My wife says she has a work event on Sat Apr 14, but otherwise we should be good.

That sounds awesome. It probably would have to wait til Summer at this point though, unfortunately. The rest of my family will be living in Richmond until we close on our house so I'm going to be back and forth up there every weekend for a little while. Assuming everything works out with our house sale/purchase...

Summer meetup is a fine idea too.

I'll be watching for a date. We should be around.

Just stopped in Cary for food break today on our way to Wrightsville Beach.

Any recommendations for food down here? I love pizza, wife loves Thai, we both enjoy Mexican and seafood.

Will be here until Sunday

I'm fond of many of the sushi places in the area. Raleigh has some surprisingly good seafood. (The Wilmington area has even better seafood, of course.) Salvio's Pizzeria is pretty good but on the North side of Raleigh so maybe too far out of the way. I was never impressed by the local Mexican, but I lived in Texas before I lived in NC, so I have high standards.

I'm sure the people actually living in Cary have opinions on the local stuff.

Do get the seafood when you get to the coast, every time I've been out there the seafood has been amazing.

Yeah I should be clear, looking for food in Wilmington. Cary was just a lunch pit stop.

I haven't been in Wilmington enough to give you a best-overall, but I remember that the Fish Bites Seafood Restaurant was a really good lunch stop on the way down to Cape Fear.

So summer started last week. S&T?

We're up for hosting! Currently have nothing booked all summer, so open for suggestions for which Saturday.
