FYI: No video for this series, unfortunately. We're just not setup for it this time!

Well I really enjoyed this! I love RPGs that let players paint the world rather than be spoon fed by the GM. Don't get me wrong, I am fine with the latter sort, but letting players get creative too gives them an investment in the game over and above the normal 'how hard to I hit the tentacle thing?'.

Spoilers coming up for those who have yet to listen:

Spoiler:

My only gripe, no one went insect. I mean COME ON!

Oh and the British accents. What's with the Dick Van Dyke 'ello Mary Poppins' stuff? If you're really going to go British, at least try a regional one like ooh I dunno, Brummie or perhaps Welsh.

Excellent work as always, I look forward to hearing more of this group's exploits.

Holy crap! I got goose bumps all over during the first 5-10 minutes of this episode. I mean, however much I loved The Unmarked, I was praying for the crew to go for something completely different this time, and boy were they firmly decided on not letting me down.

I didn't know what to expect at all, but the level at which this campaign differs from the former just blew me away. New GM that's doing so far a great job, new setting far and away from the realism of The Unmarked, completely new and interesting party and a new system that I'm so looking forward to get to know better.

I'm going to miss Julian and Corey, but my god, I practically jumped in my driver's seat, when I found out that Rob Daviau was in this one in the fourth chair.

Can't wait for this thing to unravel!

Fantastic first episode guys!

The only complaint I have so far is that Auntie Em was not called out as NTM, ANT-EM, or some other technical acronym turned into informal identifier, with the appropriate techno-babble backronym applied. From the first time the name was coined, I was impatiently waiting for someone to call this out. I think there may be something wrong with me.

Maybe it'll come up later.

Great first episode! Can't wait to see where this goes! I loved the Unmarked, interesting to see different styles emerge from different DMs, systems, and settings. I will say it is taking me a little bit to not hear Rob and immediately think it is the narrative voice, but that should fade in an episode or two.

The beginning of the episode gave me a strong Pandorum vibe, and I LOVED IT.

Loving the sound and style so far. Apocalypse World games are perfect for this format, because the rolls and mechanics are a) simple to understand b) easy to convey through audio, and c) always keep the story moving forward. None of this "Oh you missed your roll, nothing happens *yawn*" crap you get from some other games.

So while I'm not IN this show, I'm super INTO this show, and my goal is to try and do at least one piece of new music each episode. We'll see if I can keep it up, but I'm right there with you -- I'm so digging this.

Shawn, a point of order:

Mike Zenke's proper title is 'Michael Zenke, The Crow-Bearer.'

When he assumed the title of 'Crow-Bearer,' at my wedding, all lesser titles are considered to have been removed from his address. He, of course, still has rights to the lesser titles and accolades but 'Crow-Bearer' supersedes them all when addressing him.

Duly noted.

Rabbit, not sure if this has been fixed in later episodes, I just listened to the first yesterday, but is there some way to modulate Michael's voice somehow to be more even volume levels? The way he talks (and Cory sometimes on the CC) he fades his voice in and out or trails off sometimes, which means I have to turn the volume up pretty loud to catch everything he says. Then someone comes in who consistently projects their voice like Sean or Shawn and blows up my ear drums when wearing headphones.

It is not a HUGE deal, but would be nice if something could be done.
