Previous incarnations of Cleveland/P&C/D&D have had an image thread, to handle political cartoons and other image-based stuff that doesn't belong in the general post-a-picture threads.
If any of them spawn an extended discussion, please spawn it off into its own thread. Replies to non-picture replies should take the form of a link pointing to a post on a different discussion thread.
And I shouldn't have to say it, but the images still need to abide by the rules.
I get that, but has the number changed?
Isn't this the whole maga shtick - ignore reality and believe you are always right? In some horrific, sad, way he epitomizes his brand.
Trump knows full well that his posts lead to threats against witnesses and he's hoping it leads to more. That's the whole reason he's on trial in this case.
Yes, his "consequence" was a very stern you-better-not-do-it-again-for-real-this-time (not like the last three times we swear!) finger wag. Big deterrent.
Finally someone is thinking about the poor investors!
Another reminder that Republicans don’t actually believe in the First Amendment
Edit: Removed. I was Farley-hausered in another thread.
asking for a friend
I don't think it means what he thinks it means.
Do you think Elon is saying “for many, Covid was a death sentence?”
Hah hah, joke’s on you if you’re spending time thinking about what Elon is saying beyond “ketamine makes me forget my kids hate me”
If one were on Elon's ventilators, yeah, it would be.

Yeah, but nobody will be able to shoot an arrow through the ventilator.
Elon was also supplying ventilators from March 2020.

Didn’t a lot of the hospitals he supplied say he was sending like CPAP machines and stuff instead of ventilators?
They supplied a mix but mostly BIPAP which are indeed similar to CPAP devices. These were purchased.
I can't find any details yet of whether they actually supplied any via manufacture despite his claims that Tesla and SpaceX engineers were working on it. There's 3 weeks of hype in late March through early April in 2020 and then..... nothing. Not a peep on this after April 9 2020.
So not what the hospitals asked for and not sufficient for what they needed it for- classic Elon.
Okay, that one slayed me. I'm dying here.

Worse than insufficient; detrimental to any attempt to stem the spread.
CPAPs supply Continuous Positive Air Pressure to the wearers mask. There is no return mechanism because the mask is vented. When the user is exhaling or even not inhaling extremely quickly, the excess air goes out through holes in the mask. This is very efficient at sending droplets from the users lungs into the air. One COVID patient with a CPAP could infect an entire wing of a hospital. (Bi-PAP is essentially the same thing, except it lowers the pressure for exhaling. Still uses the same vented masks and vents overpressure air to the room).
Only an ignorant jerk would send CPAPs to a hospital during COVID; there is no way someone didn't try to explain the harm they would do to Elon. Obviously he ignored and dismissed that information because he believes himself to be a galaxy brained expert on everything, and regards any attempt to fill him in on even the basics of a topic as an attack on him.
*I know both from reading about it in the media, and because I was hospitalized in 2020 for non-COVID reasons, and had to test negative for COVID before I could use my CPAP.
Is that a real quote?
Is that a real quote?
I've been looking and I haven't been able to find it.
He does point out several times that he's not an accountant, but other than that he basically kept saying "The accountants gave me the numbers and they're the experts so I trusted them, and that's why I signed off on them."

From what I'm reading, just the opposite is true. The accountants depend on official numbers, provided and signed-off by management (Trump Jr.), on which to base their work.
I can't see the "I was given bad advice by incompetent employees" defense working in the courtroom. Of course, afterward, Jr. promptly goes in front of a microphone and contradicts what he said under oath. Even if it garners sympathy from the MAGA base, I don't see insurrectionists attacking Wall Street to defend Trump Enterprises.

According to this it not only isn't going to fly in the court room, but amounts to a confession of guilt:
