Previous incarnations of Cleveland/P&C/D&D have had an image thread, to handle political cartoons and other image-based stuff that doesn't belong in the general post-a-picture threads.
If any of them spawn an extended discussion, please spawn it off into its own thread. Replies to non-picture replies should take the form of a link pointing to a post on a different discussion thread.
And I shouldn't have to say it, but the images still need to abide by the rules.

The cake is a bi?
Piecurious.
Apple-bottom, cream-on-top.
Cripplingly depressed about a lot of things, we do not discriminate.

She just caught up on The Boys last night and was thinking about this scene.
Democrats aren't lying about having morals.
Neither are Republicans.
They're just lying about which morals they have.
Because it was actually a pattern of abusive behavior not just one photo, and because democrats (sometimes) care about more than just power.
Ah, so since the only tried to overthow the government once the elected officials who participated are allowed to stay in government - well I bet if they try again (and someone takes enough photos) they will be out too.
Also, it's still a safe seat in Dem control; it's not like Franken would make a difference in any of these votes

Are we pretending that the Republican party isn't displaying a pattern of abusive power now?
Well she isn't wrong

No obviously not. I was pushing back on the implied statement that Frankin did nothing wrong and was wrongly ousted. He did plenty wrong and it was proper for him to resign. The fact he did is what defined the difference between us and conservatives.
That video is terrifying and the trooper puts not just the pregnant woman but a lot of cars in danger. Not that he had any excuse to do what he did.
Warning this is not for the faint of heart:

That was disgusting. I would literally do the same thing in her shoes. I was taught to pull over to somewhere safe when there wasn't a normal shoulder.
Cops are still bad here. They don't know how to do the job well without endangering or killing the people they're ostensibly meant to protect. What problem was solved by trying to run her off the road?
The state police Colonel, defending his browshirt's actions, kind of proves the point when he quotes the law that people need to immediately, safely, pull over. He glosses over the safely part.
What problem was solved by trying to run her off the road?
The "problem" of the state trooper feeling he was being disrespected because she didn't immediately pull over.

And if this pregnant women's significant other went after the attempted murderer, they'd go to jail. This country is f*cked.
We have decided* as a nation that police are above the law. Until that changes this kind of thing will be the norm not the exception.
*based on how we vote in our democracy - with all the caveats of how many people actually vote, how informed the voters are etc.
It is amazing that Danny DeVito's twin can be so articulate and thoughtful
Danny isn't even wearing his mask right.
