[News] Post a D&D Picture

Previous incarnations of Cleveland/P&C/D&D have had an image thread, to handle political cartoons and other image-based stuff that doesn't belong in the general post-a-picture threads.

If any of them spawn an extended discussion, please spawn it off into its own thread. Replies to non-picture replies should take the form of a link pointing to a post on a different discussion thread.

And I shouldn't have to say it, but the images still need to abide by the rules.

Love this.

I've thought about that quote a lot the last year.

Good job interview screening question.

Yeah, the cops went hard last night. I think maybe they were anticipating the Proud Boy rally to clean up instead of chickening out and leaving town, and had to take out their frustrations themselves. It’s the most violent they’ve been in weeks.

Suddenly relevant

well, I think part of the answer is that at least some of the tax laws have been literally signed into law by Trump... : D

He hasn't worked within the laws. That's kind of the point of this story. He lied about his expenses and credits, not just in sense of what would be fair to a normal person, but even utilizing all the legal loopholes the mega-rich built into the system he'd owe more than he's paid. The process of what he was doing followed the rules, but the actual use of the money didn't. It only holds up as legal if you don't look at it too closely. Oncw you do all sorts of violations become visible. He used a "historical property" he claimed conservation credits on as a personal residence. He classified payments to his children as business consulting fees.

The real question is how the f*ck do you spend $70,000 on haircuts and still have hair that looks like that

The real answer is, you don't. You pocket the 70K and still claim it on your taxes.

Either that, or the hair is a sentient lifeform from GargonB that only eats purebred pugs.

I choose to believe the latter

you get the 'full John Edwards'?

Quoting myself from Twitter:
Trump has a little patch of hair on his head. He grows it out so someone can sculpt it into the world’s most elaborate combover. And that takes talent. Sure, the end result is atrocious but I mean they’re doing the best they can with what they’re given.

“She treated her father with a degree of detachment, even irony, going so far as to make fun of his comb-over to others,” Wolff writes, as extracted in New York magazine. “She often described the mechanics behind it to friends: an absolutely clean pate—a contained island after scalp-reduction surgery—surrounded by a furry circle of hair around the sides and front, from which all ends are drawn up to meet in the center and then swept back and secured by a stiffening spray.”

$70K would get you 175 "full John Edwards." Assuming you go to the barber once a month that's about 14 years worth of haircuts.

$70K is also about 270 "full AOCs." That's about 22 years of haircuts.

I was trying to make a reference to how Trump might hide the money paid to cover up a child of an affair, but I got my John Edwards' stories conflated.

Biden totally should drop $750 on Trump's podium and say "next year is on me."
That would be epic!

Feeling that one. Hard.

I kinda feel like the pictures should be reversed.
One is being your true self. The other is selling some of your soul for your family to live another day.
