Fire Emblem Catch All

The 2 free orbs a day felt perfect. I didn't pull every day (nor expected to), but it at least felt like I was building my total at a reasonable clip. At least the April quests have refreshed, so I'll get a bunch of orbs from those.

The two free a day was super nice, but I can still grind out the 1 freebie from the daily arena quests, so I imagine there will be enough between that and the other rotating quests to keep me at it.

I'm actually surprised how long I've stuck with FE Heros. I didn't think I'd get past a month.

This is the only team I can make with bonus heroes of the right level for this week's arena. Oops. I made it through the first seven on beginner just to be safe, and fortunately most of those opponents haven't learned to stack on blue.

I think the voting gauntlet is dumb. It's good for learning the abilities of characters you don't have, but seems really pointless when your team Haas no hope of catching up after the first ten minutes.

Also, when I'm waiting for whatever menu to load, I draw the ABC logo with the sparkle trail.

Don't you only need one of the bonus heroes for the full bonus?

Omg I haven't checked. Will probably stubbornly go on with my super red team anyway

Can confirm, you only need one of the heroes for the bonus.

Edit: Also, completely agree. The voting gauntlet seems like a bunch of BS. Even so... I kinda want/need (who are we kidding, I NEED) the feathers. So I'm basically going to do all the tasks to get flags, then wait for a matchup that my team will win and just dump them all into it for hopes of getting ranked at all and winning more feathers. I very needs Nino to get that 5* upgrade.

You get more feathers if your individual contribution is high. The key is to figure out who the popular character is and jump on their team from the beginning for the win though. My guess was Camilla this time around, although I was thinking Cordelia might be a strong contender.

Yeah ok that makes sense, to not have everyone going a limited set of teams. In my defense, that's the opposite of how it works in FF:BE, and the first time I went with an all bonus team I went super well

Yeah last time Lucina was the clear winner from the start. Need to back the right horse Pegasus? Wyvern? this time.

Camilla seems like she might be best. Almost 4 million players on her team already.

Edit for clarification.

Are you taking players or points? Because Cherche vs the other one is already at 350M vs 600M at the time of writing.

Boobs McGriffinRider Camilla is at 3.7b.

Oily makes a good point as to get popularity I would assume but she is just about the only wyvern or Pegasus Rider with any kind of main or secondary character role. I don't even think Hinoka has as much screen time as Camilla and they play a similar role in their respective campaigns. Granted I have not played a lot of the older games so I do not know how prominent Minerva or Palla are.

Hinoka is my girl (and one of my few 5*s) but as soon as I saw the character lineup, I knew where this was going.

I thought maybe Cherch had a shot but... think about who they rolled out in Easter outfits?

Camilla is weird and gross and every time she shows up I am unsettled but I'll be damned if I'm not going to be on the winning team at the jump when the winner was obvious.

Minerva is important enough she has an archetype that is followed by other characters across the series. Here is a link to the list of archetypes (she's midway down). Fire Emblem Archetype List

Maybe I was reading the numbers wrong a couple days ago. It just said stronger and weaker team and I assumed the number was players. But clearly it's score.

This morning Camilla is already at 2 billion while Cordelia doesn't even have 500k.

22b to 5b after half the finals. Camilla is going to win.

I am 2-0 in picking winners.

A small thing I noticed that isn't noted anywhere in the voting gauntlet rules etc, but if you battle with the hero you are voting for, the base score is 110, not 100. I've been using the various color heros to polish off the tasks with just the base score (no flags) and then using Camilla and pumping 200x flags at a time to get me 22000 points in a go. Seems to be working pretty well for me.

Just a random thought.... instead of having remakes of Fire Emblem 6 and 7 separately, why not combine them into the same game, and do it Genealogy of the Holy Wars style, where you have the events of Fire Emblem 7 as the first part (yeah, they actually were halfway through what would become Fire Emblem7 before they switched to Fire Emblem 6. In this case it is 4,5,7,6,8, story wise ) This way you could have the story of both games fit together, certain characters would carry over with stats and items that they had at the end of 7, third and possibly 4 tier classes, classes that needed to be fixed would be, and classes missing would be introduced in 6, such as the assassin and the story would finally make sense to people who haven't played one or both games. This would fix some of the plot holes in the earlier games that were never answered, and it would allow some variance in story, as there are a few second generation characters in 6 whose parents were party members in 7. Anyone else thinks this is a good idea?

Is there talk of remaking Fire Emblem 6 and 7?

Also, the answer is none of the above. The games are perfect and just need to be released on VC.

Serious answer is one bundle of both games would be amazing.

Well, I haven't heard specific talks of a remake, but given they're doing remakes in order, there will most likely be one in ~15 years, if they stick with one new one and one remake every two years, so I was curious about how people think it should happen. And yeah, VC would be great.

Famitsu review is in:

Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia (3DS) – 9/9/10/9 [37/40]

Fwiw, Fates got a 36/40.

FE: Heroes, they didn't put the time zone on the maintenance times... .... ...

-.-

So the summon rate and the rate they give us orbs (gift of 20 recently notwithstanding) has slowed down. Ok. Fine. So be it.

But that just makes it extra painful when I finally earn enough for a full pull and get 4 3*s I already have and my 5th 4* Cecelia. 5th!

I got incredibly lucky on the spring festival pull. After using about 30 orbs I got a 5* Lucina and Camilla in the same pull.

I did get a new character from the 20 orbs at least. 4* Lachesis. Not great, but something.

Hope to do one more pull tomorrow before it's gone. Or is it gone overnight?

Can't do a full pull today.

They brought back the 2 orb a day thing for some reason. Update celebration or whatever. So they keep calling it different things but aside from about a week there has always been 2 orbs a day since release.

The new patch is definitely an improvement. Changing starting positions is huge for some actual game strategy. Could have helped on some of the more difficult special missions they've released.

And plenty of energy now to play.

A new video on Shadows of Valentia, going over the mechanics. They make note of an ability to rewind to before a move was made, but only once per battle unless you can discover some upgrade abilities. I kind of like the idea of that. Keeps some of the risk and challenge by making the rewind ability more finite while adding some of the mercy found in Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together.

Chapter 10 and Ike summon added to mobile game.
