Fire Emblem Catch All

Err puttering around on ebay to see if I can pick up Awakening and Conquest for a cheap price and it seems people are selling accounts with two 5* heroes for around $15. I guess where there's a market for it...

I feel like I see this kind of stuff pop up all the time when new f2ps come out. I question how many people actually buy them.

Not my greatest draw...

Looks like Ephraim and Eirika (Sacred Stones, GBA, yay!) and Seliph and Julia (Genealogy of the Holy War, SNES, less yay) were added to FE Heroes yesterday.

I managed to get a 5* Ephraim this morning. I really needed a good spear user and both of his passive abilities reduce defense, energizing with my Roy and Takumi.

Finally finished upgrading my castle after the 6 more basically free gems from the 2nd event missions this week.

Maybe that will finally help me get someone leveled into the 30s...

What's the benefit of adding friends in this game? I forgot that was a thing until just now.

5-10 feathers a day... rumored pvp....

It's amazing, I mean with a full friends list it would only take you 5.5 years to earn the feathers to promote someone from 4* to 5*.

Haha, that does seem rather pointless if you aren't into the pvp aspects.

If you have 5+ friends, then you get an extra 5 feathers with every daily greeting. That's all having friends does.

Stamina cost of the training tower will not be increasing. This change alone ensures I'll keep playing, I'm very happy Nintendo is listening to the players.

EDIT: Also want to say that I called Sharena as a strong character a week ago. Remember that 1 week from now when you see everyone putting her on their Arena team.

I was grinding Takumi up to catch the rest of my main squad. Even without the final castle upgrade it went by pretty fast by making sure he got most if not all kills in each map. But I imagine it would take a while to raise a healer or 1 movement tank unit.

Still, the feather requirements are outlandish so I can't see any time soon that Peri will be 5*, may have to keep hoping for a 5* summoned replacement. My last 20 orb draw was a ridiculous 3* fiesta.

Yeah the 1 unit armors are tough to get into battle sometimes.

I actually found Lissa (healer) one of the easiest characters to level. Got great exp when you heal and you can also finish off enemies with her very well.

Armor units are pretty easy too. They're excellent at blocking choke points, so in the right map they'll take most of the XP.

Guess that works for story maps. But for training ones they seem to be random.

Sharena counts as an armour unit? I used her pretty extensively on my *first* team because she was my only blue unit and she did OK.

I definitely dont have any of the shield-carrying units yet.

I've managed to get the 7x consecutive wins on Intermediate arena fights with Lyn, Takumi, Corrin (F), Camilla. Neither of which is level 40 yet. Lyn and Takumi are my only two 5* heroes which I guess is pretty good.

You know once you finish those quests, more open right?

Like finish the win 10 intermediary and 20 overall, then that page resets with win 20 intermediate and 30 overall.

It never ends

Guess who has a 4* Donnel? I've beaten the game, the rest of you can pack it in.

To be fair, Donnel is supposed to be worth the investment, and leveling is fairly easy with the training tower.

On a side note, I just restarted my Awakening save, and got screwed over with EXP on Donnel. He's like level 5 and I'm facing lv 10 enemies. It makes getting kills for him really difficult.

He's really good. I didn't summon him at 4*, I leveled him there from 2* from the freebie map.

Damage is good, defense is good, he's got HP for days and I haven't unlocked it yet but I can drag enemies backwards with him? No, he's top notch.

I leveled him to 4* as a way of making amends for getting him killed in Awakenings.

Had another 20 orbs so rolled the new summon today. Only 4* was Matthew, who I had already promoted to 4* the other day. Oh well.

No 5*. And all 4 of my 3* were duplicates, Felicia, Stahl, and Raigh (free starter who seemed so useless he still has 0 XP). I guess Gaius is better than the 2* free one from last week. Oh well.

Better luck with next 20, maybe. Shouldn't be that hard to get at least one new character when I only own 35 of them, but apparently it is.

I feel your pain Stele.

I was a bit gun shy in Arena after being mauled in intermediate last week, but this time, 5* Takumi was soloing beginner (he rolled poor def and res but his atk is 40 and speed is 25, this is at LV25). The only threats he has encountered were Robin and Corrin (F). I was able to get him out of danger many times with Fae, who pulls an ally backwards by one tile.

Yeah, Takumi is pretty broken in general. Mine has about the same HP and attack as my best melee characters, which destroys with that enhanced threatened space.

No, she's an Infantry unit. Sheena is an example of an armor unit, as is Effie.

What Sharena does better than anybody else in the game is buff. She has Rally Atk, which is SUPER strong with the current Takumi/Kagero killers, but also rocks with any high speed character. Sharena also gets Fortify Def, which is great since the same two top killers are both non-mage. Lastly, her top weapon debuffs Atk within 2 spaces every turn (this is unique amongst all heroes AFAIK). Oh and she is fast, always good.

That's a 5* ability though. Not going to get the starting Sharena there for a few weeks, and that's if you don't upgrade any other 3* to 4* and waste 2k feathers.

Sheena is tough, but last night I found Takumi + pullback with 2nd hero (Fae in my case) took care of her pretty easily (attack from 2 square distance, pull back so always one tile away from Sheena's attack range). The PVP AI doesn't push or shove (or whatever it's called) its tough but immobile units very effectively.

On top of that, the AI in PVP does not turtle - it will rush you, so you can set up a defensive position to take advantage of limited space and adjacency bonuses. So long as you can set up your position so you match up 2v1 against a hard target like Sheena, you'll usually come out on top if you have a ranged unit with high attack and speed stats.

I don't know... I've managed to overcome a few 2x Takumi teams with my lineup. Admittedly I have one takumi on my team but still. With good burst you can take him down without much pain.

Yes, but it makes her a strong option for first promotion to 5*. For my part, it's between her and Robin.

I was referring to your "she'll be on pvp teams in a week" comment last page. Maybe in a month. Or two.

I think you're underestimating how many people will spend money to get specific characters. But PvP is supposed to match equal level and performance, so YMMV.
