Fire Emblem Catch All

Hell the loss of XP is hitting me in the late 20s. I guess my teams aren't the right colors, but I only have so many around that level.

So I can't be the only one here who is excited for Fire Emblem Warriors. Who else is hyped for that?

I guess you could call me semi-hyped? I don't plan on getting a Switch until the end of the year at the earliest but I would definitely like to play Warriors eventually. I had fun with Hyrule Warriors and I like a lot of the Fire Emblem characters so it should be fun.

I don't think I'll ever be excited for a mosou game, regardless of franchise. The Warrior games are not for me.

I'm very happy that it's coming to a portable system first. When Hyrule Warriors was announced for 3DS I already had it on Wii U, and I wasn't going to double dip on a game that long. Not a problem this time.

Me after literally any 2 characters fight next to one another:

I need to confess: I did not load FEH all weekend and instead opted to play Birthright.

Quick question on Fates: can you visit other castles and buy as many Master seals as you like? Last night I promoted a few characters without any planning.

Yes I think in the end that might FEH's real success. It had me looking at how much pre-owned copies of the 3DS Fire Emblem games were going for. The last one I had played was whichever one was on the Game Cube (and none of the characters from that game are in this!).

Path of Radiance. And I hadn't noticed but you're right, there are no Path of Radiance characters in Heroes.

3 f'in Marths ?! Really?! The honeymoon period is definitely over for me with this game.

First 5*. Nice to meet you Tiki, please put on some pants.

Yeah, getting a second Chrom was one of the things that put me over the edge of uninstalling as well.

Ok, advice time. I keep getting mediocre pulls and don't know who to level at this point.

I had been leveling Felicia and just got her to 4 stars, but honestly wasn't a fan until she hit that level as her survivability is crap and damage was low. Now she has good damage though. Just got a 3 star Cherche and she is much nicer to play with than Gunter (2 star), but I don't know how much of that is stars and how much is mobility.

Any comments?

Yeeeeeeeep.

As much as I love Fir, the fact that she appears to be a 14 year old girl and isn't wearing pants continues to creep me out and it's going to get her dropped from the team for Lazlow or Lon'quo, someone with clothes on.

FE: Heroes rekindled my interest in Fates, so I went back to my incomplete run through Conquest and have been picking away at the main mission line. Since I've already completed Birthright, I'm inclined to just plow my way quickly through Conquest. That way, I can get to Revelations and make that the entry I really take my time with, building up characters, focusing on relationships, etc.

Has anyone else played through all the Fates entries? If so, how did you approach them in terms of your time and focus?

I played all three, starting with Conquest. With Conquest it was a real challenge since you can't really grind, but I did some side missions for money and overall had a good time. With Birthright I kind of sped through just because of how easy it was throughout the majority of it. Revelations I was tempted to make my big run through, but I ended up feeling a bit worn out after the 80 combined hours of the previous two campaigns.

But seeing as I still enjoyed all 100+ hours... I'd say I had a good time.

I had a pretty similar experience except I burned out early with Revelations and decided to save it for when I felt like revisiting the game someday. Also I started with Birthright.

I'm still enjoying fiddling with FE: Heroes bits at a time. It's not deep enough for me to treat like a serious game, but I am having fun leveling, building new teams and planning how I want to promote...

What it has done is make me really excited for Fire Emblem Echoes and I'm leaning towards picking up Fire Emblem Warriors when it releases.

Yup. Me too. I like the game and it's streamlined approach. Kind of tired of games with FTP mechanics, but ifh well.

But, each day that passes makes me more and more want to stop playing Dragon Quest VIII and start in on Awakening. I'll probably fiddle with the early missions sometime soon. See if it sucks me in.

With your roster, I would make your main party Lyn, Robin, Felicia, and I guess Cherche. It's a tough call between Cherche and Nino, but I think I'd still go Cherche so you aren't too heavy on casters. Felicia is amazing once you get her heal skill up, she'll keep everyone going. Robin will suck early on, but he'll pick up once you get Blaaraven which makes him counter colorless opponents (hello anti-Takumi).

Given in to the musou.

Cecilia has a power like that too. I'm considering leveling her.

Yeah, Gronnraven. I'm not as big a fan of Ceclia's other abilities though, particularly Escape Route. It looks good on paper, but the reality is heroes either die instantly or survive with > 50% health. The number of times I can see utilizing an ability like that are few. Robin, on the other hand, buffs allies def.

Things I've learned since I sunk an hour in at lunch:

4* Olivia is wonderful.
4* Frederick is probably my best 4*
My 5* pantsless dragon apparently gets +1 to everything every time she levels, which is nice.

THIS was a damn fine pull. I started a team with 4 out of the 5 and I think I just might keep leveling them as they are absolutely crushing it.

Pantsless Tiki is one of the best characters in the game. She'll take you very far.

ahrezmendi wrote:

I just need her to take me to Old Navy. Where I will buy her pants.

Sadly she will not take you there. Ancient she may be, but in addition to pants she also lacks a drivers license.

I have a 3* Frederick. Couldn't decide if he was worth ranking up. I really like Gwendolyn as an armored unit, despite her limited movement.

Pantsless Tiki was my 5 star pull as well. I'm fairy certain she could clear most maps solo, at least around chapter 5/6.

In conclusion, why need pants when dragon?

I also reset a bunch and finally decided to stick with a 5* Tiki and she had been carrying my team hard. I see some people are looking Sheena, how did you get her to work? I have her at 4* but she just gets stomped by all the enemies, even blue or green ones. Also her damage is pretty lousy but stuck with her since she is my only green unit after about 5 pulls.

I get use out of my Sheena by shoving her around the map with Roy.

Like any Armor unit, her utility is taking physical hits well and countering blue, but otherwise being useless. So she can tank archers very well (even Takumi reasonably well), and she can even take on Armorslayer and Hammer users thanks to her "Immune to Effective Against" trait. Her slow movement sucks though, and any mage will rip her to shreds. I'm looking to replace her with Fae ASAP personally.

Err puttering around on ebay to see if I can pick up Awakening and Conquest for a cheap price and it seems people are selling accounts with two 5* heroes for around $15. I guess where there's a market for it...
