Carrie Fisher becomes one with the Force.

Carrie Fisher suffers heart attack; in critical condition

The heart attack happened about 15 minutes before the plane landed in LA, celebrity news website TMZ reported. A medic who was travelling on the plane administered CPR.
Paramedics then spent a further 15 minutes administering more CPR to Fisher before getting a pulse, TMZ reported. The actress was on a ventilator in the UCLA medical centre, the website said.

TMZ isn't the most reliable news source, but it does sound bad. I guess 2016 isn't quite done with us quite yet...

I posted this in the TFA thread, different source.

So it is unconfirmed but supposedly Carrie Fisher had a heart attack on her flight from London to L.A. . Here is to hoping she pulls through..

To quote John Oliver, "f*ck You 2016!".

Her brother says she's in stable condition now:

Again, f*ck 2016.

England, you better make sure The Queen gets/is better.

Terrible news. 2016 can't end soon enough. Hope she's alright but this doesn't sound good. Just as she's making a comeback of sorts.

Her dog is tweeting updates, which is adorable and heartbreaking.

Really hope she pulls through.

This hurts....

M&*@T$(%F*)@*(!&)%K)&(@R!!!!

As a lifelong geek who is of the generation where Star Wars was functionally a part of our cultural DNA, this is way worse for me than Bowie or Prince or anybody else. Blech.

This really isn't fair. To anyone.

f*cking f*ck f*ck f*ck f*ck f*ck this year. How many more haymakers can this sh*tty year throw?

f*ck OFF, 2016.

Noooooooo.

Goddamn it :'(

Wow, so sad.

With great sadness, Carrie Fisher dies Tuesday morning.

This both sucks and blows.

Wow, I don't have any words for this other than eff you 2016.

Damn. That is really sad.

The past few days have really hurt. I've dealt with a lot of the deaths this year, but George Michael and now Carrie Fisher just really hit me hard in the heart.

Very sad. Strange that we saw her digitally in Rogue One, and now this. Feels like we're limping to the finish line. 4 more days, folks.

The only Skywalker not tempted by the dark side.

The only celebrity death this year that genuinely made me feel sad inside.

Me too.

I hope we don't see her have some sort of CGI death on screen. I think her ship going down as she saves others would be best.

f*cking f*cksticks. Fuuuuuuuuuuuck. Fuuuuuuuuuuuck you 2016.

I am in the same boat.

60 is way too young. Was looking forward to my daughter growing up watching the General kick some butt.

The 1980's can take their cocaine and shove it.

Yes, there was a Carrie Fisher renaissance just starting, I think, as people began to know and like this outspoken "broad" who was part of their past and we hoped and thought would be part of our future.
