Recommend me a Monitor

Looked for a thread for this and couldn't find one, figured I'd start one up.

Looking to replace my 8 year old 24" Westinghouse 1920x1200 monitor. Served me faithfully if not flawlessly (the image quality was always great, if the power supply wasn't) but is starting to bite the dust. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...

My secondary monitor is a Samsung 24" 1920x1080 monitor, which I like, but find a bit too small. I prefer something bigger for my primary, but from what I can tell, 1920x1200 monitors aren't all that common.

I was having a look at some of the 2560x1440 27" monitors, and they look nice, but I'm concerned that
A) My graphics card can't push that many pixels (Still rocking a GTX 560Ti, which has been fine at 1920x1200 for most of the games I play nowadays - Overwatch, Hearthstone, Pillars of Eternity - not exactly high end)
B) I could probably only afford a low-end one at that res, since I'm looking to spend around CAD $300 and that's where they start.

I was also looking at some 1920x1080 27" monitors, where I like the size, but am a bit worried will be too blurry at that resolution. In particular, this HP model looks quite nice, but I'm also hesitant to get something refurbished. http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...

So my questions to you:
1) Refurbished monitors, yes or no?
2) 1920x1080 at 27", yes or no?
3) Assuming no to the above, get a good 1920x1080 at 24", or bite the bullet and get a 2560x1440, and hope for a good black friday sale?

Found an older thread while looking for something else.
