Great show, as always!

Can I make a suggestion for the next trivia game? Next time, to "buzz in" the players should shout out their own name. That way you'd know who was the first one to buzz in gets to answer first.

Cheers!!!

Then everyone would just yell out Game King.

Edit: And regards to spoilers from trailers, be very cautious with that because sometimes the people who create the content aren't the ones who create the trailers. See the trailers from the last Star Trek movie.

Thanks for shouting out the Extra Life group! I'm currently working on some of my own schedule, and I'm going to try and do some shout-outs in other threads to help out folks trying to organize their own schedules as well. The realization that there's only about two and a half weeks left has certainly kicked me in the rear as well. I'm a terrible captain.

The Extra Life thread is here for those interested.

Unfortunately, that Mario Kart 8 was me being a terrible person and forgetting to remove an old time (and horrible failure of a stream for technical reasons beyond my control). Currently I'm gearing up an Until Dawn playthrough with my friends for 2pm Eastern on Oct. 29th. That will be on my Twitch channel so I do not hijack the GWJ channel for that day/night.

It should also be noted that this year Extra Life takes place on Daylight Savings, so prepare for 25 hours.

Whee!

Yay! I got a shoutout. Nobody got my Link to the Past bottle question.

I did!

I decided no more Super Metroid questions for the podcast crew because they're all philistines.

You mean I missed being on an Amoebic Trivia show by two episodes?!

Curses! And I got most of them too!

Yay me too But mine was guessed and yes, there is a pooping game and no I don't own it or have ever played it lol.

I got a last minute question in! The name of the talking horse in Ultima's 4,5,6 & 7. Nobody got it, but I wonder if any listeners knew the answer.

The fanfare sound bit Jonathan Downin slipped in there was amazing.

The only trivia questions I got right were the Knights of the Old Republic one and the Life Is Strange one on Frank's dog!!

BTW Amobic, my name is said:

Up-To-Iso-morph-ism

I know it is weird, but I am stuck with it from my PSNID, and I figured I may as well keep it for everything. I created it when I was way too in the weeds about becoming an Algebraist.

That's an I and not an L? I always thought it was an L but your name makes so much more sense now.

Yeah, I blame the stupid sans serif font the site uses. Certis, take note! :)~

Listening to them answer Nintendo game questions was a nightmare.

First off, congratulations to Rabbit on his dominating victory.

I should have known that one, but didn't.

I did know the name of the first RTS, though (even before Amoebic read the options). A bunch of people driving in NJ last night must have wondered why some weird guy was yelling "HERZOG ZWEIIII" at his car radio. I don't even like much in the RTS genre, but HZ was one of the best Sega Genesis games.

I got a good laugh out of that, too.

Good listen.

Btw, it was mentioned in one of the previous episodes that solid 60fps wasn't as huge a deal as some people (particularly PC users) make it out to be. I can't speak for everyone but I can most definitely notice the difference between 30 and 60fps. In most games with lots of movement and 3d, framerates lower than 60 give me headaches and eyestrain. It's particularly frustrating for me when developers lock games to 30fps for no real reason. A recent example I can think of is the cutscenes in XCOM2 (last I played).

It's a lot easier to figure this out nowadays because of things like the handy dandy steam overlay FPS counter.

OMG, I sound just like i haven't slept in a week on this show. Could be because I haven't really slept in a week. If it's also not clear, I was SUPER EXCITED about trivia.

So sorry folks, I will rest up.

I think Meebs either mis-read my question or purposely made it easier. I'm guessing the latter based on all the "uhhs" and "umms" the question got.

It was supposed to be: name THREE Kotor characters not including Revan.

Shame on the conference callers: when asked for an IP that deserves a good game, not one person said The Tick.

I know superheroes have been done to death in games, but the latest MCU version of Falcon would be an incredible simulation. You've got the metallic wings, you've got the funky goggle vision, Redwing the falcon drone, plus plenty of hand to hand combat. Not to mention hours of wise cracking commentary with Anthony Mackie.

It was purposeful! I felt bad for how stumped they seemed lately.

Haven't had a chance to download the episode yet.

Is the RSS podcast feed down? My RSS reader won't connect to it the past couple of days.

Thanks for using my question! I had to do a bit of research for it, so here's my homework:

True or false: Elysium has played more hours of EU IV than people have spent on the moon.

True. The Apollo missions on the moon totaled about 14 days, which equates to 336 hours. Elysium has played ... more than 336 hours of EU IV.

Does that count multiple people being on the moon at once? If two people are on the moon at the same time for 12 hours, would that be considered 12 hours or 24 hours?

Hey, Rabbit!

Don't feel bad about the PSVR thing.

Graham's enthusiasm sold me on a PSVR enough to convince my wife to get one today.

Five minutes in the thing convinced me to pack the whole thing up and return it. I'll probably have more to write about it soon, and will definitely be talking about it on my own podcast this week (shameless plug)

Fortunately for me, they know me at my local GameStop so they let me return it even though there's a policy against returning open systems that are not defective.

Ach. Sorry if I led you astray.

No worries. I was already on the edge after my boss spent a week telling me how phenomenal the PSVR experience was. You just nudged me over.

Then I nudged myself right back.

Boo! I need more people on my friends list playing Superhypercube. I can definitely understand why you wouldn't find it worth it. It's hard to recommend if you really don't gravitate towards a couple of the few games that are out now.

It's been a while, but I think I used this list to come up with the total. Two people on the moon for 12 hours counts as 12 hours. There were only ever two people on the moon, so we could be generous and double the time to 672 hours. Elysium has still played more EU4 then that.

I think he has enough to win even if Apollo 18, 19, and 20 were not cancelled.
