God, it's so pretty

Wowzers, that's a looker.

Scrubbed to the end, didn't see a PC logo next to the XB1 and PS4 logos, closed the video.

I watched the IGN steam with their commentary, and the host said after the trailer that this game is accelerating his interest in getting a 4K TV. I had the exact same thought during the trailer.

Still waiting for big, reasonably priced OLEDs, though.

Wow, love all the new stuff regarding the horses. They look lifelike and it will be easy to spend a lot of time trotting through the scenery.

You and me both, Fed.

Really looking forward to this one.

I hope they don’t screw it up with too much of an emphasis on in-game purchases or something similar.

It did make me go to rtings and look up what the best OLED is - a 77" LG for about eight grand. Yeesh! I'm a not expecting cheap, but that's still nuts.

That’s the one I want! But I won’t go over 4 grand, patiently biding my time.

I want to go to there.

We got last year’s 55” LG OLED for around $1200 recently, and have been super happy with it so far. Can’t wait to see this game on it.

I am now officially aboard the hype train. I'm way into all of the choices you have for resolving conflicts outside of shooty bang bang.

The way the horses circle around is a quantum leap above how horses behaved in games past.

Yeah, pretty sweet. The animal animations really pull it together. Definitely feeling that western movie vibe watching it again.

Sweet jebus.

Yeah, I'll be getting that day 1 even if I don't have time to play it. I wish my plasma TV didn't have a column of pixels that's out, but at least I have a PS4 Pro.

Edit: I wonder if The Witcher 3 had some influence on Rockstar. It almost looks more like a Witcher 3 world than a Red Dead Redemption 1 world.

This game is pure awesomenss

Blimey! Attention to detail is staggering & those landscapes! I think I'll just ride out to the middle of nowhere & enjoy the scenery while I sit at a campfire. The fluidity of the horses look a step up from any game thus far too. Love the extra dialogue options to calm down escalating situations.

I've a great feeling this is gonna live upto the high expectations set for it.

All I can say is Wow, just wow. That looks really good - Im impressed. +1 to The Witcher 3 similarities in ambient world building and detail.

All this talk of displays...

I recently got the 1X and last year’s LG 4K UHD 27 inch computer monitor. Did my research. Going small screen is not an issue if you’re sitting closer. They work amazingly well together. And the smaller display while sitting close is just perfect. Maybe even better since my prescription lenses are tuned for that.

RDR2 is already preordered, and I’m on blackout, baby!!!

I really loved RDR 1.... this looks that and much more... I think it is too late to pull the breaks on the hypetrain. The destination better be a good one heheh

Does anyone else get nervous when you read all this copy by Rockstar about how they're pushing the open world game, nay, the video game to new heights? I'm sure it will all be fine, but every time I hear it I say "Shut up with the self-congratulatory tech talk and just give more RDR! That's all I want! That's all I've ever wanted."

I’m with you on that. GTAV was a technical marvel, but everything else was phoned in. They rehashed all of the same gags and tropes that had appeared in previous RS games, and it was completely uninspired.

I am worried that they’re going down the same road here.

I kind of feel that westerns are so rare in video games that rehashing all the same old tropes won’t really diminish my enjoyment of it

I absolutely agree with this. I think the only Western-themed games I've played are RDR1 and Stampede for the Atari 2600. Bring on the tropes and references! We only get one RDR per ten years anyway, it seems.

I was just thinking that the Wild West Online folks gave a collective groan knowing their money grab is pretty much now over.

Do yourself a favor and play Call of Juarez: Gunslinger. It's a great little shoot-em-up theme park ride you can get for the price of a burger now.

Awesome, it was confirmed that the footage was captured from a PS4 Pro which is what I have. I was worried that might have been off an Xbox One X.
