So one of the 3 new games announced by Amazon was a MMO called New World
New World is a massively multiplayer, open-ended sandbox game that allows you to carve your own destiny with other players in a living, hostile, cursed land.
How you play, what you do, and whom you work with or against is up to you.
Live on your own amidst the supernatural terrors or join with others to build thriving civilizations.
In this evolving world that transforms with the changing of the seasons, weather, and time of day, the only limit is your own ambition.
A release date for New World has not been set.
Not much is known yet except that it'll be a 'sandbox' and there's a lot of the original GW2 talent behind this. So if nothing else it will look good!
I'm really intrigued by the setting of a fantasy take on first contact Americas.

I'm intrigued for sure. I will at least give it a go since I have always thought that other genres would be a fresh change from the tried and true elves, dragons, wizards and dwarves.

I originally was worried that it was actually being cancelled like a couple of other games, but when i went and took a look at the page it was still there and actually a new link to receive game notices.
Evidently Twitch streamers and Youtubers are being flown out by Amazon to play the game. Safe bet we'll see some news at E3.

I'm pretty sure I signed up for it months ago. According to Twitter, it's not just US people that are getting invites. Guess I'll just have to wait and see.
So I just got connected into the GwJ Discord server, where would I find the channel for New World, not seeing it in the channel lists.

There isn't one. Probably because not many people have access to the alpha, and there's all manner of NDA stuff about discussing the game in a public area etc.
Hrmm ok, guess I misunderstood. A post above said that someone had started a discord for this.
When i play i just create one on the fly with the @stanbot in the request channel, but i've not touched anything else since Blackops4 dropped.
