Didn't like her theme in BvS. Still don't like it now.

I don't think I truly understood just how subjective taste in music was until this moment.
"Ah, well. To each their own." said Grenn loftily, as he flittered out of the room.
Hey, don't leave me here alone with my subjective tastes.
I liked her theme. I would place it as one of the positives of the movie.
Snyderesque colour palette aside this looks dope as hell.
Ahem, there was a blue sky with fluffy white clouds for parts of that. Full sunlight was falling on the ground, and there was green. So at least the transition to the Snyderpalette will serve a purpose, even if its an obvious one.
I just had the experience of being on a plane for 17 hours, twice, which afforded me the opportunity to watch Suicide Squad. My brother, being in similar straits, had seemed uniquely traumatized by the experience, but I figured, Hell, what else am I going to do here? Ironically, in the first attempt the flight was mostly in darkness and I feel asleep, and only awoke for bits I'd previously seen in Youtube videos detailing how awful the editing was (including "THISISKATANASHE'SGOTMYBACKSHECOULDCUTTHROUGHALLOFYOULIKEMOWINGALAWNI'DADVISENOTBEINGKILLEDBYHERHERSWORDABSORBSTHESOULSOFITSVICTIMS!"), so I gave it another shot on the flight back, and...
...and...
My God. There's just...so much, I can barely wrap my head around it. That movie sucks ass. I feel my time was wasted, and I was in a circumstance where I couldn't do a whole lot except sit in a chair.
Yep, I'll concede that WW shows some awareness of the effective use of colour. I don't think that London needs to look like a woodcut illustration for a Charles Dickens anthology though.
And yes. Suicide Squad is unredeemable. Even BvS has some glimmers of potential. Suicide Squad had nothing to offer whatsoever.
Oof. This does not sell me on seeing this movie.

I kind of dug it.
Cyborg looked terrible.
My response is a profound "...Okay...whatever."
Momoa looked to have a little life, though.
Joss Whedon to direct standalong Batgirl film.
Hopefully it's not part of the current DCU but based on the current comics instead. I would imagine Joss Whedon would not want to work within certain confines after his experience on Age of Ultron - although that movie was a big team-up that had to fit within a way bigger long-term narrative.

I'd say they'd have to make it part of the DCU, but he probably negotiated the level of control he wanted to not have to put lots of forced tie ins into it.

Okay, let's get our bets on who's going to be pointlessly killed out there.
I'm going to go with Commissioner Gordon, but I wouldn't put it past them to have this be a prequel to BvS and have Dick Grayson killed instead.
That is... unexpected.
What an obvious vanilla choice. I think Batgirl suits Whedon's skills more than Avengers, but I'd really rather see someone more interesting with better action chops.
*Whoops, crossed wires*
Finally caught BvS, an ok movie I was in "OK like" with. Could have been worse from what I heard. I did die laughing at one scene as it reminded me of the series "badman" Badman vs Superman.
In BVS when Batman is about to kill Superman and they both are just screaming Martha at each other I think I got popcorn in my nose. See clip below if you never have. Also if you have never seen any Badman episodes don't start here go from the beginning, also below.
That aside, doomsday deserved more of a movie than a 15 or 30 minute ending quicky boss
Suicide Squad was pretty good. More enjoyable than what was foretold in the press/internets/radio/pigeons. First half was so fun to watch, I had a pause there and thought the big baddie was a bit of a let down but was on board with where it was going. I think it could have a future. DC could be onto something here if they keep what the magic of the first half up through a whole movie.
Biggest fall flat was Joker, neither good or bad just meh. JL I expected a bit more from him. It is almost as if they need to embrace the Batman Animated series aesthetic for the characters and do a long night in Gotham Batman movie.
Doesn't give me a whole lot of hope for the writing, tbh. Especially if that's one of their best scenes.
I really hope this will buck their trend and actually be good I think Nolan's Batman stuff was the last good DC film.
Yup... Need some new life for DC. Suicide Squad's first half was really fun. Second half sucked that all away.
The full trailer makes it look a lot better. I do hope this movie works out. I like the direction they seem to be going with Wonder Woman. They're sort of stealing Captain America out from under Marvel.
That is truly awful.
I don't usually verbally exclaim at terrible news, but this one made me react out loud.
100% top critics on Rotten Tomatoes so far. So hyped for Wonder Woman. So hyped I'm posting in an "extended universe" comics thread and I know nothing about anything (unless Teen Titans Go counts). So hyped I'm using the word "hyped". So hyped I'm trying to arrange babysitting because I want to see it this weekend.
